From O&B News...talks about Glenville's game coming up tonight and says playing time will be a major factor in his decision. Names the schools he is looking at as Ohio State, Wisconsin, Florida and Illinois and only guarantees he'll visit OSU and Illinois.

He will either be a Zookeye or a Buckeye. Looks like he is listing us out of respect at this point. Ted Ginn Sr. does teach his athletes proper manners, I cannot really say a bad thing about any of them as far as I know.
Does anyone have any more detailed info on the Glenville pipeline? I think that would be a phenominal read. Something like a breakdown of schools chosen, NFL players, off the field troubles, etc. I would put his program up against about anyone's in the country over the last ten years. Truly a class act, as far as I know.

"I didn't think it was a big deal, the de-commitment," former Gopher verbal David Gilreath said. "I think this was the best decision of my life."
"(The University of Minnesota) didn't really compare," UW Kicker Taylor Mehlhaff said. "I loved the atmosphere here. It was pretty easy to cross (Minnesota) off the list. I wanted to play at the highest level possible but I also wanted to have that college atmosphere."

Sounds like a good project for LJB...I will PM him. OSU has obviously gotten its choice from Glenville. No Glenvill player with an OSU offer has gone elsewhere (with the exception of Hiley starting off at OSU and not making grades). Iowa has done exceptionally well at Glenville, and obviously Wisconsin and reeled in a few as well.

Cordale gives his Illinois visit a perfect 10 and says it was equal to his tOSU visit. He is undecided on any other visits.

From O&B News...more of the same...recaps the Illinois visit and says he may visit UNC or Wisconsin in January or may make a decision soon.
I would be surprised if he TG Sr. didn't encourage him to take some more trips...

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Regional playoff run thrills Scott
Tuesday, December 18, 2007 Bob Fortuna
Plain Dealer Reporter
Glenville lost a Division I regional championship game to Mentor in a 41-40 heartbreaker, but senior Cordale Scott, The Plain Dealer's Football Defensive Player of the Year, won't allow that one loss to tarnish the Tarblooders' successful season.
"We didn't get as far as we wanted to, but we had a great year," said Scott, who has every major college football program hoping for his signature on a national letter of intent. "We beat a Cleveland South team who a lot of people thought would give us a run for the [Senate Athletic League] title.
"And we made the playoffs."
Scott is known for his prowess as a defensive back, but also sparkled as a kickoff returner against Mentor. He gained 250 yards on four returns, which included two dazzling 99-yard returns for touchdowns.
However, the modest Scott didn't dwell on his individual performance.
"My focus was on winning the game and helping my team, in any way, to reach that goal," said Scott. "After all, that's the bottom line.
"Everyone remembers who wins."
True, but Scott's effort in his last high school game will also be hard to forget.

Confirms he has committed to Illinois. Says it was a tough decision and that Coach Zook and Coach Wolford were the deciding factors.

OSU got Zookered for one of their in state recruits before Wisconsin. That's something to be proud of...eh? Granted, OSU has more players who he'd covet, but it's not as if Ron hasn't tried several times. Meanwhile, Wisconsin has beaten him for a couple of Illinois players in this class alone.

Proud? Let's not get carried away...compare how much talent Ohio churns out compared to Wisconsin and I think it is safe to say it was bound to happen. Zook is an awesome recruiter and is becoming an even better coach. And with guys like Wolford and Locksley on staff they are always in the hunt.
FWIW, don't expect OSU to go away quietly on Scott...
