From the Wisconsin site...is sure he will officially visit Wisconsin, but isn't sure when and denies Michigan is his leader because of Fitzgerald's commitment.

He should be our top priority at this point

We should have pressured to get more players like Smith on campus when the weather was actually pleasant. Many of the recruits biggest qualm about Wisconsin is the nippy nature, and we could have tricked them into thinking it's always 80 degrees in October. Seriously, our visit scheduling should be directly synched up with favorable weather reports when possible.
Not that Brandon has a particularly high aversion to the cold as a northerner, but it can't hurt with all recruits.

I remember Smith saying somewhere that he liked playing in the cold because he felt it "gave him an advantage"
While I agree with you in general, especially with most of the Florida boys, with Smith it should not be an issue

Yea, Smith so far has visited Michigan and Colorado, and wants to visit here. I don't think he's a Southern boy. I think he's man enough for the cold
By the way, I love the weather outside right now. It's finally fall and feeling like October should feel...

An example of how much Scout is behind Rivals, we are not even listed as "a school of interest" for Smith. I think it is clear we are at least third, but Scout has us listed no where. More proof that Scout blows

Zebras hold off Mustangs; turn focus on state-crown defense
By BRIAN JOHNSON
CORRESPONDENT
Focuses on the team beating J.F. Kennedy and advancing to the state playoffs. Not much about Smith, but he did have a three yard touchdown pass in the game.

Sure. Any time there is uncertainty about a coaching situation, a player is going to be apprehensive about spending 4-5 years within that program. It somewhat depends upon who the replacement is, and how quickly its made. Few recruits would commit blindly without a coach period. I think Les Miles would be a sexy transition, while building within would be uninspiring. So I'm rooting for the latter for selfish motives.
I was thinking about his recruitment the other day. Wisconsin has been one of three constants in Smith's recruitment. Factoring in Michigan's and Rutger's situations/seasons, our stock logically should have been rising from his perspective. However, now that he's introducing new programs like Oklahoma and Va Tech; you can't help but be concerned.
