I'm not sure if the timeline from Scout is accurate, but I would guess the recent attrition at CB wouldn't hurt our chances. I really don't have a good feel here though. A rash of commitments usually doesn't hurt either though!

What timeline are you referring to?
F.Y.I., I checked the Wake Forest Message boards, and they have a 75 post thread about Johnson on their Deacon Sports premium board, updated recently. That's not a very good sign.
My most recent inclination was 50/50 between us and the Deacs. I don't know what happened, because he was supposed to decide a while ago. News should be surfacing soon enough, if it hasn't already.

There was an article up by a Scout writer earlier in the week saying a decision would come this week. I hadn't checked the Wake board real recently - that doesn't sound too promising, but I'd think it about even too.

I feel a little better about things now! I was just on the Wake board and it sounds as though they may be after some other CB's. Supposedly an FSU commit is currently in Winston Salem and another CB out of TX has a visit slated for September. We (well, some of us) all know recruiting though...

The FSU commit, Merriel Noel, ended up switching his choice to Wake on the visit. Noel also had offers from Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and West Virginia; so that's a major commitment for them.
I don't think this is necessarily a sign that Kevin Johnson is already red, last I heard he was truly perplexed, but 2 pretty good commits at his position like the Deacs already have may make his decision a little easier.

He is rumored to commit to Madison upon returning from a family vacation.

Seems inevitable, but good news none-the-less

Supposedly Kevin Johnson is finally going to decide this weekend....but we've heard that report before. Wake Forest is not out of the question in spite the two CB commits already. Likely one of the hold ups was learning if they still had room. Not a good sign if the urge to make contact was from Johnson's direction. Got to give us the edge because of depth chart, but it doesn't appear to be a given unlike a week ago.

It's hard to call this one. The CB out of TX, Damian Payne, who had/has (?) a visit scheduled to Wake has committed to Utah, so that visit may not happen, etc.

Committed to Wake.
Look for Jabari Price to get an offer soon.
