Miami (OH) has offered. Grew up in Chicago so he's always dreamed of playing in the Big Ten. As a result, Wisconsin leads. Also has some interest in UNC. Might decide soon...it will surely happen before his senior season.

Junior LB already serious about recruiting - Yahoo! Sports
Just to add some stuff - does not plan on camping anywhere, since he has a BCS offer in hand. He will visit the AA combine on December 26th. It seems like UNC has to pull the trigger on an offer soon, or he will commit here.
Trying to dig some more info up on this guy.. he starts at RB and OLB, along with playing some WR.

Country Day responded with a scoring drive that ended with a 15-yard touchdown strike from Hedley Jennings to Nick Kamerer, forcing overtime.
Linton came up big one more time as Country Day faced a fourth-and-goal with a chance to extend the game. The linebacker came off the end and sacked Jennings in the backfield, sealing the win.
Charlotte Christian advances in the NCISAA playoffs and will play Charlotte Latin.

I would love this pickup to start the season as long as he can add 20-30lbs and still maintain a 4.5-4.6ish speed

UW staff looking hard at Charlotte star
Ty discusses his relationship with his recruiting coaches John Settle and Randall McCray....Also talks about the other schools showing interest including North Carolina, Vanderbilt, Virgina, and NC State....describes Wisconsin as a "dream school" and will decide before his senior season
Chalk this one up for 2010.....thing that interested me most was that he said that his recruiting coaches said they are trying to get more kids out of the North Carolina area(maybe Settle can actually recruit someone )

Hopefully he's not too attached to those assistants in particular.
Wisconsin was QB recruit Evan Watkins' dream school if everybody remembers, but we didn't end up taking advantage. A gamble which didn't hurt us because we reeled in our #1 choice at the position Jon Budmayr, subsequent to Watkins committing to N'Western. It's kind of nice to have an out of state kid make that declaration who we actually believe justifies an offer. Linton looks like a stud so this would be a great beginning to the '10 class.

By A Trieu. Linton says that he, his family and his coach have always been Big Ten fans. He grew up around Chicago, and his ties have him loking hard at Wisconsin. He is also looking at Vanderbilt, Virginia and Miami (OH) and hopes to hear from Northwestern.

We dodged the bullet with Conor O'Neill, but this is not good news.

We haven't done well historically in the Carolinas or even Georgia, so this may be an area of concern. He did grow up in Chicago, and two months ago said he dreamed of playing in the Big Ten, so no reason to lose hope just yet, IMO

Settle discovered him and he was handed off to McCray. McCray is one of the better recruiters on staff. His name wasnt listed as the primary because he would tend to hand the player off to the position coach because of his recruiting coordinator responsibilities.
