Junior running back Brennan Clay (San Diego, Calif./Scripps Ranch) was just offered by Michigan and San Diego State. Clay also holds offers from Baylor, Wisconsin and Stanford. We've said before but the 2010 class of running backs in California is absolutely loaded and looks like the strongest position in the state by a wide margin at this early point.

He told Sporting News Today that he already has a solid top five. Three of his top five are showing intense interest, but haven't offered the junior a scholarship just yet. He lists Michigan as his No. 5 school, and Stanford as his No. 4. Both have offered. His top three is made up of No. 3 California, No. 2 USC and No. 1 Oregon. He said all three are close to offering.
