Wow! This kid is impressive.
In the picture he looks like a bad ass dude. Good timed speed and pretty good strength for his size. With his intensity he could really get jacked in our weight room. Very productive kid in a league where the competition level is high. Video: His most impressive attribute is his motor...he doesn't quit. His "get off" is above average. He uses his hands and leverage very well to wrong foot linemen. He has some pass rush moves. He doesn't just bull or speed rush. Holds his position at the point of attack. His 4.6 speed doesn't translate to the field, but he's still alright in that area. I really hope the Badgers can extract this kid. Not that defensive end is a desperate need like DT.

6/2 Burnett is going to be flying all over the country to find the right school. Colorado, Michigan, Arizona St., and Missouri are already planned visits. He's contemplating adding Cal, Wisconsin, and Arkansas to that list. He wants to decide before his senior season.

6/7/08 Missouri, Colorado, and Arizona State lead over Wisconsin, Michigan, Arkansas and Cal. He is up to 25 offers, and all his favorites have offered except Michigan, whom he expects to offer if/when he sees the campus.

6/8/08 From the Badger site. Wants to make visits to the seven schools mentioned above. Believes he will end up playing out of state. Basically more of the same. Would like to make a decision by July.

6/9/08 Burnett stopped at Colorado this past weekend. Came away impressed, but as planned, will still visit Mizzou, Michigan, and ASU. UW, Cal, and Arkansas may also receive visits. Outside looking in, down but not out, etc. If he visits we have a chance, but it looks like odds of getting him on campus is 1 of 3.
