Gaye was injured for the vast majority of his junior year but has shown in his limited touches that he can be a dangerous back....Could be the gem of Colorado's recruiting class if he recovers well from his injury.

Jonathan Gaye and his Mullen teammates got of to a slow start Friday, but the Mustangs certainly finished strong.
Gaye rushed for only 28-yards on seven carries in the first half in Mullen’s 36-14 Centennial League opener against Grandview. He only carried the ball five more times in the second half, but it was good enough to finish the night with 200 yards and three touchdowns.

Another Mustang, running back Jonathan Gaye, committed to CSU last week before the coaching shakeup, according to Logan and the player's father, Joseph Gaye.
"Sonny Lubick was a huge part of the reasons and (running backs coach) Mick Delaney," Joseph Gaye said. "They offered to build the offense around him."
Gaye, the 100-meter sprint champ as a sophomore, played with ankle and knee injuries the past two seasons, but still rushed for more than 200 yards againts state finalist Grandview.
