Moe not ready to commit – yet
There have been several rumors floating around that Fort Zumwalt West athlete T.J. Moe is ready to commit to the Tigers, and he wants to set the record straight.
“That’s false,” Moe said. “I won’t be committing anywhere this early.”
Moe, who led Fort Zumwalt West in passing with 160 completions for 2,326 yards and 17 touchdowns, and rushing with 216 carries for 1,497 yards and 24 touchdowns, also has an offer from Kansas, but said he’s leaning toward the Tigers. Moe said Mizzou cornerback Carl Gettis, who was high school teammates with Moe, has been talking up the program.
But for as much as Moe likes Mizzou, he’s weighing his options as recruiting starts to pick up. He’s heading to Louisville’s junior day on April 5, and received invites to attend the junior days and spring games for Illinois, Vanderbilt, Ohio State and Colorado. Moe said Louisville’s junior day would be the last he attends, but he is planning to go up to Illinois with Saint Louis University High running back Ronnie Wingo before the Illini spring game on April 19 (Moe is going to Missouri’s spring game on April 19). Wingo, who has offers from Mizzou, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas and Tennessee, will visit the Illini this weekend.
“I’ve got to step back and look at my options a little bit and make sure Mizzou is the right fit for me, but I will probably commit somewhere before the beginning of the football season next year,” Moe said. “I will say that I really do like Mizzou a lot, but I think everyone already knows that.”

Wake Forest`s coach wasted no time in offering FZW athlete TJ Moe after watching his highlight film. Actually. the coach offered Moe five minutes into the video while talking with Coach Day.
"" They (Wake Forest) just came into school last week." said Moe. "I had only gotten three letters from them before that. He came to school, watched my video with me and offered on the spot."
The thought of possibly playing for the ACC school has Moe interested in finding out more about it.
" I am probably going to make the trip there and see the place sometime in July. I was really interested in what Coach Billings had to say, so I will make the visit and we`ll see what happens. It would be a good school if I just want to go the academic route."
While Wake Forest has moved in quickly, they aren't`t the only school showing new interest in Moe. Several others appear to be on the verge of offering him as well.
" I am expecting to hear on offers from Wisconsin, K-State, Nebraska and possibly Illinois in the next couple of weeks from what I hear. Wisconsin and K-State are pretty for sure and the other two are about 80% sure. They have all given verbal offers but I don`t know when the written offers will arrive." said Moe preferring to wait on seeing an offer in writing before considering it official. Wake Forest informed Moe that they don`t extend written offers, only verbal ones.
All of the schools mentioned are looking at Moe to play safety in college.
TJ also holds offers from Missouri and Kansas. It has been thought that Missouri is the team to beat in the past and while they may hold a slight edge at the moment, he will check out all of his options before making a commitment.
"Yeah, Mizzou is still the team to beat at the moment, but the Tigers coaches have not really put a time frame for when they need a commit from me. They have just said to jump in when i`m ready and they will be waiting."
Does he have a personal time frame for when he`d like to make a decision by?
"It will come before the season starts this year. I`m gonna make all of my visits and everything this summer and make sure that I am confident in my decision so that there is no turning back once I make." said Moe.

The Wisconsin Badgers became the latest team to offer Ft. Zumwalt West`s TJ Moe. The written offer came in the mail over the weekend giving TJ a total of four offers so far. Missouri, Kansas, Wake Forest and now Wisconsin are those who have extend offers for hiom to attend their schools.
According to an earlier article (see below), Moe expects another offer from K-State and likely offers soon from Nebraska and possibly Illinois.
TJ will be at the Tigers one day camp in St. Louis this coming weekend.

Moe is intrigued by the UW offer, and plans on visiting UW during the summer.
We seem to be second on his list after the offer

"(The University of Minnesota) didn't really compare," UW Kicker Taylor Mehlhaff said. "I loved the atmosphere here. It was pretty easy to cross (Minnesota) off the list. I wanted to play at the highest level possible but I also wanted to have that college atmosphere."

After the last two seasons they've had, stealing a top recruit from Missouri appears to be a difficult feat. What was once a hotbed for UW, is now effectively a wasteland. Kemp switching decision was a turning point for the Tigers against the Badgers.
It helps that Moe's cousin plays in another one of the Badger's athletic programs, though.

If I could find a picture where Bohannon looked slightly constipated, he'd be a dead ringer.

I am not overly optimistic, but the writer did at least make it sound that Moe was genuinely interested.
Those two are clones, hopefully they are in constant contact

And it was a national analyst who interviewed him in Jeremy Crabtree, so indeed a reason to believe we have at least a smidgen of a shot.

Missouri insiders are claiming Moe is a virtual lock for the Tigers. He himself acknowledges they are on top.....but he still wants to see what some others have to offer, namely Wisconsin and Wake Forest.

STLtoday - Zumwalt West's T.J. Moe commits to Mizzou
Quote:
Fort Zumwalt West football player T.J. Moe has said he was leaning toward Missouri but wanted to take all his visits before making a commitment.
But after attending the Mizzou football camp this weekend, he couldn’t help but declare his intention to play for the Tigers.
"I was going to wait, but I knew I wasn't going to find a place where I could have better relationships than I do now," said Moe, a 6-foot, 190-pounder who is best friends with current MU cornerback Carl Gettis.
"And Mizzou is really good, so that helps, too."
Moe, who will be a senior in the fall and is a quarterback at West, said he'll play safety in college.
Verbal commitments are non-binding. High school seniors can sign binding letters-of-intent the first Wednesday in February of their senior year.
In his junior season, Moe threw for 2,326 yards and 17 touchdowns and rushed for 1,497 yards and 24 TDs en route to Post-Dispatch All-Metro honors as an all-purpose player.
He’s the No. 7 prospect on the area Super 30 list for the 2009 class.
Moe also had offers from Kansas, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.
