Been bulking and getting stronger in the weight room. Likes Bama, along with: Colorado, Minnesota, and Texas Tech. Also wants to take an official to KSU and Wisconsin (no offer).

I would much prefer Spencer Reeves to Brandon Marti, and I'm not suggesting running Marti out of town, but that seemed somewhat of a questionable offer at such an early juncture. To me, he's a slow play type recruit. Reeves is a pretty fierce linebacker with a quick burst, and I don't put much stock in packaged deals, but offering him certainly wouldn't hurt our chances with Keanon Cooper. I'm not sure if I could see the Badgers taking two defensive players off the line without decommits in those areas.

Thanks for knowing what to say to make me feel better Mike. I can take solace in the fact that at least Marti is not a dwarf corner with mediocre speed. At 17-18 commits when Varner committed to Duke, with a rush of commits after his offer, I'm going to assume that an unconditional offer turned into a conditional offer. No chance we lose a recruit to Duke with an even playing field.

Spencer Reeves says that that Minnesota is recruiting him the hardest. "They were my first offer and have been on me since then," Reeves said. "I see them doing great with the new coaches. They have a very good attitude and are very motivated to turn it around. I think they'll do big things...I planned on committing during the summer, but I started to get more offers and decided to wait..."
