Elie seems to be struggling to measure up to other Wisconsin running back recruits on the field and in other areas.

High school football Week 1: Immokalee's streak ends with loss to 5A Cape Coral | BonitaNews.com
Quote:

Despite 101 yards (on 20 carries) from senior workhorse running back Carl Elie, Class 3A No. 6 Immokalee could not hang with Class 5A Cape Coral, which ran away with a 24-14 season-opening win.
|
Another ho hum night (He did score a touchdown)
I still think Elie will be good, but I would like to see a little better production out of him. He might become an afterthought real fast if he doesn't put up some big numbers

High school football Week 2: Immokalee responds from loss with 28-0 shutout of Dunbar | BonitaNews.com
Quote:
|
Carl Elie blasted his way to 186 yards on 25 carries and the defense was stifling, allowing 104 yards of total offense as the Indians rolled to a 28-0 victory over Dunbar on Friday night. It was a big rebound from last Fridays 24-14 home loss to Cape Coral.
|
The best game from Elie during the young season. Hopefully he can continue to build on games like this.

A Carl Elie update for those still interested
Immokalee upsets Fort Meyers
Quote:
|
The backbone of the offense was senior Carl Elie, who totaled 133 yards on 25 carries and scored one touchdown.

IMO Elie has little chance of being a Badger, unless Erik Smith were to decommit. He has not lived up to expectations in his senior season, and his measureables are not overwhelming. However, is personality is similar to Aaron Henry's, making him very coachable, so he should end up somewhere.
