"Bo has made a mistake before - Jason Chappell" - True, but he was a contributor, mostly because of his defense. I don't think that Gavinski will reach that point.

"(Gullikson) might remain on the team in a walk-on capacity, but he won't have a scholarship awaiting him." - As more and more time goes by I see the odds of him staying on the team getting smaller and smaller. Sometimes I wish that Bo would be more open about what's going on inside and outside the locker room (ex: Landry and Stiemsma, now Gully). But I just can't picture Bo stripping him of the scholarship and allowing him to stay on the team. Oh well.

It would seem odd to tell a player his actions cost him his scholarship, but not his roster spot. I think it goes hand-in-hand, although would could use him next year.

Well, one of the worst things you could do to somebody with a drug/alcohol (they're the same thing) problem is remove them from a structured environment. Stripping Gullickson of his scholarship is the punishment part, but keeping him on the team would allow the staff to keep tabs on him and occupy him so he can't justify not being sober. Also, I don't know if DUA is such a heinous offense to kick him off the team. He does the same exact thing a few months later and there are no consequences. It's a status offense.

It's an offense that 75% of the underage student body makes every week. I don't know if he actually has a "problem." The problem may just be that he's an idiot when he's drinking, and that has more to do with company than anything. I was "friends" with someone that went out drinking with him several/many times, and I'm not surprised that kind of company didn't stop him from wandering around campus while drunk at 2 (or was it 3) in the morning. The fact that a drunken me (while not underage) would have walked right past him as it happened if I had cut across campus instead of around it on my way home from drinking near the Kohl Center that night makes it hard for me to blame him for being out that late.

About Gavinski: What we saw of him against Penn State today is a pretty good representation of what he can do. He had a nice putback dunk that illustrated his ability to get rebounds and putbacks. However, he also had a horrible hook/jump shot that showed his shot is terrible and that he can't put a move on anyone in the post. The also would have had a nice block had he not hammered the guy with his body. He's just very uncoordinated if he's not going straight up and down.

Also: Krabbs got his first collegiate dunk and TJ got his first three pointer today. And Gullikson played in the final minutes, which I don't think would have happened if he was being kicked off the team.

I don't know if you were planning on keeping the chart current, but if you are you could put Evans on it.

Yeah, I'm that bored.
