Young Gun Show

Just browsing for articles trying to get a feel for this guy.

Quote:
We were Cerroni'd," he said.
Central isn't the only team that has been Cerroni'd.
The 6-foot-1 Cerroni has had seven games this season with at least 30 points, highlighted by a 42-point effort in a five-overtime victory over Brookfield East on Thursday. In 17 of the Chargers' 20 games, Cerroni has scored at least 20 points and his season low is 16.
Impressive consistancy for a soph. Hard to believe he is seemingly off or at least not heavily on the radar at this point.

I was hoping to get a look at Cerroni in the sectional final today. Hamilton would have played after the Brown Deer-Eisenhower game that I was there for had they not been bounced by Germantown on Friday. Cerroni only had 13 points in the (big) loss, but it's hard to say how much of it was him and how much was the team overall.

Yeah the way it sounds he plays on a young and inexperienced team. Supposedly he needs to work on his shot selection, but Hamilton should be a power for the next two years.

Might want to update the pic. You've got David Anderson from Oshkosh West up right now. Sorry, Heavy.

Nice work. Just realized it when I was reading an article about the best players in Wisconsin and both of their pics were up.

Cerroni named Grassroots MVP

Quote:
“Kameron shot the ball extremely well,” Playground Warriors coach Ritchie Davis said. “He had six three-pointers in the title game and had seven three-pointers in another game. He knocked down shots from the outside and that opened things up in the lane for Evan and Dakotah.
I'd love to see video of this kid. The next Travis Diener?

It'll be interesting to see which way Bo goes in 2010. There's a opening for a PF/C, which Anderson or Kelm could fill, and guard, which Blue or Cerroni could fill.

On a more personal note, it's good to see TJ Bray getting some attention. His dad was my coach back at Holy Apostles. We should have won the Padre my eighth grade year.

Of course you didn't even mention the best player in state in 2010.....Flavien Davis. But I think it's reasonable on your part, Komacki, not to mention a wing as it pertains to Badger recruiting. Beyond the legal team of Taylor and Taylor, we really are void of a legitimate 3rd ball handler. If one of them were to get injured, or become academically unavailable for some reason (won't be the case with Jordan, don't know enough about Diamond), we'll be doomed more or less. That's why I believe Vander Blue received the scholarship offer ahead of Flavien. It certainly isn't because he's the better player. He's the need selection in the draft of college sports. But Cerroni could join the fray too because he has point guard skills.

Evan Anderson's commitment is basically a formality and we'll take a 1/2 amongst Blue, Cerroni, etc.

Yeah, I'm going off an Excel sheet I made that shows the roster and recruiting needs out to 2015-16 (I was really bored). It's like the Badger Scholarship Chart that heavystarch made. It tells me that Jarmusz, Evans, DTaylor (plus weight room), Bruesewitz, and possibly Wilson would all be able to play the wing during Davis's freshman year, but only the Taylors can handle the ball and three big men are graduating that year. So I only focused on 1's and 5's. There are some really talented wings out there. Davis of course, but also Marquis Mason and Harrison Barnes.

So he's leaning Wisconsin so far he's about to fall over?

It's a scientific fact; big white guys can't keep their balance as long. Especially against the Bo Ryan Magnet.

I was on the phone with my dad when I read that, and he thought there was something wrong with me because I suddenly burst out laughing. That's an absolute gem.

Cerroni pumps in 38 points for Wisconsin Playground Warriors

by Mark Miller
WSN Hoops

Quote:
Sussex Hamilton sophomore guard Kameron Cerroni continues to light up the travel team circuit as he scored 38 points for the Wisconsin Playground Warriors in a 54-46 victory over BSA Black of Philadelphis in the King James Shooting Stars Classic.

The 6-2 Cerroni, who has played exceptionally well all spring for the Wisconsin Playground Warriors, followed up his 38-point outing with 26 points in a 62-43 victory over the Florida Rams.

Meanwhile, 6-11 sophomore Evan Anderson of Eau Claire North continues to attract a large contingent of coaches whenever he steps onto the court.

Playing alongside Cerroni for the Wisconsin Playground Warriors, Anderson had coaches from Boston College, Iowa State, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, UCLA and Wisconsin attend his games in Akron.
