Did Rick Pitino Just Lock Up a Package Deal? | The Big Lead
Pitino hires a HS coach to his staff, who so happens to coach Marquis Teague. Official position? "Special Assistant to the Basketball Coach"
Oh, and Teague visited Kentucky last month
Win-at-all-costs philosophy

With the possibility that both Taylor and Glover leave the program...
Obviously Vander Blue and Josh Gasser are two strong possibilities to fill the large hole that will be left in our backcourt for the 2010-2011 season. Otherwise, what other 2010 guards are the Badgers even looking at anymore?, in case one or both Blue and Gasser decide not to come here. Is Jacob Thomas still in the running? were we ever even recruiting him that hard? Its kind of weird that he doesn't really have any confirmed offers.

If we get both Gasser and Blue the hole would be filled nice and quick. Otherwise, I'm not sure who we target in 2010 anymore. Cerroni?

Yah, I am equally clueless, I really hope that we dont end up stretching for somebody just so we fill up a scholarship. I think the potential scholarships would be better served being stashed away for a future class/potentially a prospect in the 2011 class. Anyone think there is any chance we go the JuCo route if we don't get Blue and Gasser? I know we don't have a history that would indicate we would go that route, but I would almost prefer that than reaching for a player such as Cerroni (obviously a good player but IMO not good enough to play for UW on scholarship, we also would have to convince him to decommit...).

Jacob Thomas would have a lot of offers, but right now he is going to have to go to juco unless his grades drastically improve.

I believe we stopped recruiting McCall sometime toward the end of last school year (presumably given how tight we anticipated being with schollies). Not to say we cant still get him but I would assume other schools have taken the lead.
Let's hope we can land Blue and Gasser or at least one and avoid this situation all together.

Im still not convinced Diamond and Jeremy will be dismissed, im really hoping (may be false) that it was just a stupid mistake that they took the stuff during a party or something, now if they get convicted for the other robbery in the house's then there gone no question.

Oh I agree, I definitely hope there is more to the story than we know... I just was curious as to what people thought would happen if they were to be dismissed.
Obviously UW tends to have a shorter leash with players than other programs but let's hope further details come out and Taylor and Glover can go on to have productive careers as Badgers.

well gullickson got what 2 or 3 drinking tickets and he didn't go anywhere. Not saying that's the same as theft but i suppose that leaves a little hope for these two. Is it Bo Ryans decision or in this case the schools decision in this case? I would assume Bo made the call on gully the past few times.

The difference here is the legal system. Gully got drinking tickets, which while illegal, are basically a fine. Glover and Taylor got theft, and since it likely was over $500 in value, that's a felony. A little more serious

They supposedly stole stuff from some rooms in Sellery. I highly doubt anyone was actually having a "party" in Sellery.
