Sounds like Bruesewitz right now. This is a pretty good report on him (Bruesie) that's making the rounds of the Badger message boards. I want to see the dunk that's described and Bo's reaction to it. The post after it is about Diamond Taylor.

Don't get too excited. The one that brought up the possibility of Bruesewitz being Minnesota's best player next year was me. I have no idea where I heard that or if the person that brought it up was in any way credible.
But wouldn't it be nice if Bo snagged two straight POYs out of Minnesota as a "Welcome to the Big Ten" present to Tubby?

If Bruesewitz is like Krabbenhoft, as he's often described, then I doubt any player of the year awards are in his future. The media doesn't recognize intangibles. Minnesota's Mr. Basketball will be rewarded to a stat-stuffer, who didn't commit to tUW.
BTW, I don't think a complete liability on the offensive end, like Joe Krabbenhoft, should be recognized amongst the best players in any grouping, unless he's Ben Wallace/Joey Dorsey on defense and the boards. Not that Krabbe isn't an asset. But he needs to develop a jumper before he's considered an impact player. Same thing for Bruiser.

No! Do not start that! Wisconsin people are no where near as pretentious as the ones from fOSU. There shall be no "tUW" like the fOSU people have. Shame on you! : P

I agree that it's pretentious when Buckeye fans refer to themselves as "tOSU", because of the reason they do it. We are THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY.....like they are playing a trumpet during their announcement.
Originally, I thought they called themselves tOSU because Oregon State had the same abbreviation, and they just wanted to make their moniker unique. I occasionally call Wisconsin tUW to separate us from the University of Washington. I get annoyed when they call themselves UW. There's only one UW, AND THAT'S WISCONSIN DERGNABIT. Our school originated earlier. We're more relevant in both major sports, and have been for a while. We finish higher in the Director's Cup on average. We're rated higher academically.
I SHALL DECREE THAT UNTIL THE HUSKIES REALIZE THEIR PLACE IN THE COLLEGE SPORTS WORLD, HENCEFORTH WE WILL BE KNOWN AS tUW.

If fOSU used the "t" before their initials to separate themselves from the Oregon States and Oklahoma States of the world then I wouldn't mind it that much. But because they use it because they're pissed off at the University of Ohio being the state's main university back in the day, I can't STAND how they stress the "THE" in "t"OSU. It's the only reason I always type "f"OSU.
How often are Wisconsin and Washington talked about at the same time? I don't know if there has to be a differentiation between their initials. But hey, you're the mod, so whatever you want.
I look forward to seeing tUW next year. : P

You must not have spent much time on national college boards before.

Per an inside source, Rodney doesn't want to stay in the Twin Cities, but wants to be able to have his family come to the game. He is supposedly high on Wisconsin, and Iowa State is right behind. The source said everyone is falsely assuming he is a Minnesota lean. If Wisconsin has an open scholly, they and ISU will probably battle it out. If Michigan State would jump in it, they would have a good chance too.

Thanks for the info, Cy.
Williams would make one of a plethora of attractive options we're in solid standing with for the 2009 class......and we don't have any damn scholarships left! One will likely become available, if necessary. Two would be a stretch though. I hope Evans is worth it because we were sacrificing a lot.

"komacki, Join Date 3-2-2008" on Recruiting Planet. So nope, I haven't. But I've been on Sportsline for about a year and a half under this name and previously GoSconnie.

But what if he doesn't? What if he decides on Wisconsin sometime before March 8? Would Bo grab him up and leave Wilson out in the cold? Or would he wait for Wilson to decide? There's no good way to answer that because there's way too many variables and information that isn't known. My personal feeling is that unless Wilson gave Bo a silent verbal beforehand then the scholarship would go to Williams. Bo doesn't generally sit on a recruit that he thinks will help the Badgers, a la Ryan Evans.

if we have room, which i think we do, and williams wants to come, which i am not getting my hopes up on, he will be a Badger. A lot of ifs though
