All I'm thinkin is poor cameron wright who gets His first big offer and looses it in a day. As of now it seems it was between glover and wright for the last spot. But I find it odd that bo would offer wright knowing that glover was gonna be committing soon. So I'm just wondering where all these scholarships are coming from? Also is glover gonna be on scholarship for sure?

As annoying at Mr. Maymon is, he is right in sticking up for his kid. I would too. Especially since there was no source regarding Jeronne trying to influence Blue. Not saying it isn't true, just saying that these articles being written with no sources, no quotes, and no info from Blue or his family are getting out of hand. In the end, I would call out the writer too if it was my kid.

I feel terrible for Blue and his family. What a media frenzy. Let's hope this all gets cleared up sooner rather than later.

I'm surprised no one else said, Wow, Good news! It sounds like good news to me, of course the story is changing everyday, but this is a good step for us. Sounds like he's still a badger.

Also, my friends brother is a Marquette student, who works in the sports management and he is way, way into scouting and all that stuff like we are. Apparently, he talked to someone that said Blue is 75% sure he's going to Marquette, of course it's asinine material, but I thought i'd bring it up.

Marquette seems to be gaining the reputation of being a school that you don't have to really show up for class to play basketball with some of the recent info about whats going on here. The last article painted a much rosier picture then the original story did. It looks like Vander at this point is still a Badger, and will try his best to get his academics in order.

IMO I think the offer will still be available if he wants it.

Sorry, I still don't buy it. It's typical scrutiny quelling from a wavering recruit. He's not going to necessarily pick another school immediately so why publicly decommit at this time and expose himself to any criticism. Fact is he still wrote that he made a big decision about recruiting and he was going to take the process in, on his facebook page. It's pretty obvious what that means....and it's not study harder to ensure entrance into Wisconsin. Also, fact remains that we offered Cameron Wright. Glover was already on the doorstep so it's highly unlikely it was an either/or situation between those two. Between the style and academic concerns, I think it's probable Blue doesn't end up at Wisconsin, so instead of getting strung along, we should accept Wright if he's willing to come here. Safer option and he's a very talented kid himself. Otherwise stick it out with Blue, hope he solidifies his academic status and commitment, unless another palatable opportunity presents itself first.

As far as Maymon's comments, kind of hard to find someone credible who once said his 6'6-6'7 has a 7'7" wingspan. He's kind of prone to hyperbole. I'm quite sure as teammates and classmate, Vander and Jeronne still talk have contact with each other, and talk about basketball, the #1 thing they have in common.

I'm with Bern, I'm still not sold on this, I mean the story has changed everyday, and not that rivals is always right, but they still have him as de-committed, at this point it looks like that is a false statement, but ya never know, all of this didn't spark just for nothing.

In my opinion Vander has been very good about not reading what is being said about him. The only article he read was the one published in the paper, and he is not happy at all about it. Despite this alleged "academic issue" Vander is not a dumb kid and could read into the intent of the article. As it stands with the UW, Vander feels completely alienated and right now feels that if the article is any indication on how they were going to treat him in Madison, than he feels he made the right move in decomitting. To avoid any potential conflict with his friends at Marquette and family here in Madison, Vander is really looking into his out of state options.

This past season, his favorite college player was Johnny Flynn, so he has intrest in Syracuse if they are interested in him. Also via his AAU coach, he said that Uconn has expressed some intrest in him, and Vander likes that idea also. Still though, I personally think things could be amended with Vander at the UW. It would take a lot of talking out (something Bo doesnt seem real high on doing) but it could happen. As it stands now though, the Badger coaching staff has seemingly moved on to plan B, which from what I understand is still a good option.

By the way, being as I'm new here, if you had any other questions about other Madison Memorial players, feel free to ask. After looking at various sites about recruting, I feel as if this community is the most intellegent and reasonable group of Badger fans on the internet.

That is not good news, but this is Vander's decision and if he thinks that is best then so be it. Im glad to hear he gets away from state and away from Timmy() I am personally a huge fan of Syracuse, ever since the Carmelo Anthony days, and now with Johnny Flynn I think that would be a great place for him if he does decide to not come to the light.
