"Hoops Report" checked out Jeronne Maymon and here was their scouting report:

Maymon was just recently named the Wisconsin State Journal's All-Area Player of the Year and the State Player of the Year by the Associated Press so you know the kid is a big time talent and he showed us some of that talent in the one game we watched him play in today. He is a strong, big bodied forward (baby Dwight Howard) with great feet and is very aggressive on both the boards and on defense. In one sequence, he blocked back-to-back dunk attempts by separate players. He was equally impressive on offense, where he's a big time scoring threat from all over the floor. In the WIAA Division1 state tournament, Maymon had a three game stretch where he averaged 30pts, 14.6reb, 4.7blk, 3.7stls, and 3ast per game while leading his team to a runner-up finish in the division. Maymon has some issues with his studies but he plans to take the necessary steps towards improving his grades and hopes more scholarship offers will come as a result. At the moment his list includes Baylor, Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Wisconsin Green-Bay, and Minnesota, while alot of big time programs are standing by.

Maymon scored at least 30 points in all four contests he participated in during the King James Classic this past weekend.

Maymon's father now reports Jeronne has garnered offers from Tennessee, USC, Marquette, Baylor, Iowa St., and UWGB; as well as him having strong interest from several powerhouses. His stock has skyrocketed ironically after his AAU performances. Not that he wasn't outstanding there too, but can't they read a stat sheet from the Wisconsin state tournament?
He took officials to Tennessee and USC recently. He's looking to make a decision in mid to late summer.
No mention about his academics.

Iowa State reportedly is going to go after Maymon really hard. He will be their main target for '09

It's all academic.
If the Cyclones can steal him, they will be a tough out regardless of who else they acquire. Maymon is a one man army.....don't listen to the rationalizations from some Badger fans that he's a tweener. They're just being stubborn in the face of overwhelming evidence on the contrary.
I'll be watching ISU closely in the future.

Scott Christopherson, Dionte Garrett, and possibly Maymon. ISU's starting to look like a DI Winona State. Why not start watching?

Jeronne Maymon looking like a man amongst boys as usual: video
Also, here's an article from the same site......

Introducing Jeronne Maymon
A number of players have boosted their stock tremendously with their play this spring, but none have been more impressive than Madison, WI, junior Jeronne Maymon.
The first time we saw Maymon play was in late March at the Milwaukee Madness Showcase and we were blown away by what we saw.
Here was a player that was strong enough to bang inside, yet skilled enough to play either guard spot; an effortless scorer that was an equally dominant defender; a kid that could handle, shoot, slash, finish, rebound and block shots--- all while talking on his cell phone.
Okay, maybe that’s a stretch, but there was no-doubt that the player that we were watching was the total package... even if we'd never heard of him (how a talent like this slips through the cracks, is beyond us. I mean, just this past season, he was named Wisconsin’s Player of the Year… as a junior, for crying out loud!).
We spoke with the 6-foot-6, 235-pound athlete after the game and he told us that although he had a number of mid-major scholarship offers and had received some high-major attention, he had yet to receive a single high-major offer.
Not one.
We smiled and thought,
“Just wait, young man… your going to have plenty.”
Fast-forward five weeks and Jeronne Maymon is now one of the hottest names in the recruiting world.
Since that weekend in Milwaukee, Maymmon has put up monster numbers at three straight national events-- the Real Deal on the Hill, the King James Classic, and the Bill Hensley Memorial Classic-- and when you have a good showing at tournaments like those, scholarship-offers tend to follow.
Just in the last couple of weeks, Southern Cal, Marquette and Iowa State have all offered and we are hearing that Tennessee is close to pulling the trigger, as well. We expect him to have dozens of high-major offers by the time camps roll-around.
But, Maymon is in no hurry.
In fact, the school that he looks forward to receiving an offer from the most-- the University of Kentucky-- hasn’t made a move, yet.
But, if they do decide to offer (and as good as he’s been playing, it’s going to be hard for them not to), don’t be surprised to see the Wildcats jump to the top of his list.
It just so happens that the Maymon’s consider Kentucky assistant-coach, Tracy Webster (who recruited Maymon while an assistant at Illinois), a family friend. And having a family friend on the staff to look out for Jeronne, could be a huge selling point for the Cats if they ever do decide to offer.
For now though, Maymon is just looking forward to his summer and playing AAU ball with Antoine Walker’s Illinois Bobcats. The team travels to Chicago this weekend for the GBOA North tournament where they have hooked The Family (Detroit) in their very first game.
If anyone is in the Chicago area this weekend and wants to check out some top-notch hoops action, the GBOA North tournament (at the University of Illinois-Chicago) is the place to be and it just so happened that the last time the Bobcats played The Family, Maymon scored almost 40 points!......The kid’s a phenom.

Here is the latest Mark Miller article about Jeronne:
Wisconsin High School Basketball - Boys / Youth Basketball - Boys
Some troubling and telling quotes about why UW is not pursuing:
“Marquette is making a lot of noise right now, and we really like Iowa State and Baylor. Baylor and Iowa State might be the top priorities because the coaches there have said they will run their whole team through Jeronne. The coaches at Baylor said they can make him the Kevin Durant of Baylor. The coaches at Iowa State have said Jeronne will be their ‘go-to’ player and will form a great one-two combination with Diante Garrett.”
“Schools will need to match what Baylor and Iowa State are offering in order to get Jeronne. He is not redshirting and he is not coming off the bench."
These are all quotes from Jeronne's father and not Jeronne himself.

On the plus side for ISU, the key to signing Jeronne may be giving Devonte a shollie.
Before those quotes I didn't put too much stock in the rumors about Mr. Maymon selling his sons as a packaged deal. Now? If he thinks that Jeronne will be a Kevin Durant for some team as a freshman then I can definitely see him thinking that Devonte deserves as high-major scholarship.

Maymon is now 60 in the new Rivals 150, just two spots behind Jamil

You're gonna have to give a link for that. The Rivals article about him says that Kentucky has interest but has not offered.
