Huskies were down double digits but came back in large part due to Anderson

Anderson had 9 points and 10 blocks, helping earn his Eau Claire North squad a trip to the state tourney.

Wisconsin is still recruiting him hard, and he plans on a spring decision.
All signs point to Bucky

I can't read that article because I don't have a money account, but his plans for announcing the committment struck me as odd. Did he say spring of this year? Because if he did the Badgers could receive a commit from the top 2010 prospect a year before they get one from the top '09 prospect. Assuming both pick Wisconsin, you know.
It looks like I forgot to post how Anderson looked in his quarterfinal yesterday. Not enough time right now, I guess I'll get to it after class.

Kind of old, and not basketball related, but here goes:

Im pretty sure that announcing this early can only be a good thing for the badgers- which has also been rumored that he has been a heavy badger lean for a while.
He didnt really do anything to WOW you yesterday but for a sophomore 7 footer you can really see what all the college recruiters see in him.

WAUWATOSA EAST vs EAU CLAIRE NORTH (03/06/08 at Kohl Center - Madision, Wisconsin)
Box Score for D-I quarterfinal Eau Claire North v. Tosa East
Anderson's line: 12 points, 6 boards, 4 blocks, 1 assist
This will unfortunately be the only time we see Anderson because North lost. He started the game kinda shaky, missing his first several shots. But for at least the final three quarters he was unstoppable in the post. If he got the ball within 5 feet of the basket it was going in. He also had an uncontested tip-in that was ruled above the cylinder. The major concern for him right now is mobility and endurance, both of which are to be expected from a 6'11" sophomore. He was able to get up and down the floor fine (if a little slow) until he got tired. Moving laterally on defense looked like it might be a problem, but getting from underneath the basket to contest a three pointer is quite a ways. Movement on offense and post defense were no problem. All he has to do is work on conditioning and he's golden. His coach described his progress on a scale of 1-10 as a 4. His game has a lot of room to grow. Hopefully his short stay in Madison will leave him wanting more and he'll pick the Badgers when he announces his commitment this spring.

A really cheesy, brief high school documentary on Evan Anderson...

It's good for a chuckle. I would have been nice if he'd given straighter answers to the questions about his college plans.
