Anderson had eight against a winless team, in route to a 51-29 victory. Of note, North has held their opponents to 31 and 29 in their last two games, some of which has to be due to EAs defense.

EA and EC North advanced in reqionals. EA provided mainly defensive support, scoring 4 and adding 4 assists (No rebound totals available) They have a tough matchup with Hudson on Saturday

Yeah his stats are far from gaudy post injury. His defense at least seems Stiemsma esque

Even if he is more of a defensive presence than offensive, I couldn't care less. Look at our team this year and how it's set up for the future when it comes to low post defense. Anderson can bring back that low post defense that we had with Steimsma and Butch.

His lack of scoring has less to do with him and more to do with the offense and team he plays on. They play a really slow down offense with at least 10-15 passes per possession. The guards on the team are terrible so most teams just sag down on Evan. Generally he gets most of points through rebounds and putbacks. Y
To sum up, you can pretty much throw out all of his stats because of the team he plays on. Not only that but they play a 1-3-1 which will pretty much guarantee a redshirt for him. Wait till AAU to see how he does against other bigs.

I understand that but he's 6'11". He can't get 3 or 4 offensive rebounds a game and put em back in? And 3 or 4 should the minimum for him.

The biggest problem for his numbers is that the offense runs through Tyler Brown. Brown averages about 15-17 and 9-10 a game. A little disconcerting, but his AAU numbers are strong, as well as his defense, so its really nothing to worry about, IMO.
I never thought about redshirting, but what Jwill said definitely brought that to light in my eyes, and it seems to make a lot of sense

North moves on to sectionals after winning in OT over Hudson, a team they lost to twice in the regular season.
EA had 6 points and 10 rebounds, this while Hudson had used a box and one most of the game on Tyler Brown. A little disappointing that Anderson didn't have more offensive success

Anyone else getting a special feeling about 2010?
Assuming our boys stay we would be lookin' at:
PG - Jordan Taylor, Vander Blue, Diamond Taylor
SG - Rob Wilson, Vander Blue, Diamond Taylor
SF - Tim Jarmusz, Ryan Evans, Rob Wilson
PF - Leuer, Nankivil, Brusewitz
C - Bergrenn, Anderson, Markolf
That is an absolutely sick roster right there, very, very deep and talented. If everything pans out, I think we could be looking at a final four run.

I agree 100% but your lineups are a bit off.
PG-Jordan, Vander, Diamond
SG-Rob, Diamond, Vander
SF-TJ, Ryan, Bruiser
PF-Leur, Nankivil, Bruiser
C.Bergrenn, Anderson, Nankivil
Mark my words Ian will NOT be on this team by 2010. and if we want to be really optimistic check out a potential 2011 roster
PG-Jordan Taylor
SG.Diamond Taylor
SF.Rob Wilson
PF.Bruiser
C.Bergrenn
6.Vander Blue
7.Ryan Evans
8.Evan Anderson
9.Devon Hodges
10.replacment for Markolf
11.Randle/Winters?
12.Egwu/Harris?
That lineup is a scary group

are the projecting vander as a pg? if so, I thought randle was also projected as a pg which may hurt our chances. I know he is listed as a combo guard but he seems more like a pg to me.

I think Vander is more of a off guard, but the same could be said with DT. we will have a very versatile backcourt if a year or two.
