I would rather he ends up at Marquette than see another undeserving out of state institution steal one of our home grown stars. And I am at least a fringe Marquette fan, unlike most Wisconsin fans who, these days, loathe the Warriors...errr Gold....errr Eagles.

Hilltoppers. And I say that without trying to make a joke, I really wanted them to go back to that one.

I would also hate to lose him to Webber and the Illini after the way I saw them treat Eric Gordon I lost all respect for that program

Agreed, TroyD. He is still a kid and kids change their minds all the time. Also, he didn't deserve the way the fans acted when they played at IL. It was way over the top! Granted, every school will have the stupid fans that make them look bad.....I know you can find your share of Badger fans.

I was not talking about the fans there behavior was bad but what do you expect from a bunch of drunk college kids. Im talking about how Webber refused to just say go ahead Eric go wherever you want and good luck, but instead he acts like a jackass, and practicly blames EG for their season. I use to root for the Iliini a bit, but after the way I saw how a so called grown man handled that I was done with everything about that program.

Not a subscriber, but from comments on an MU board, it sounds like Crean called Wilson and IU is in the picture. They were pretty angry because he called him at a time when he knew Jamil was in class, and they thought that was a bit unethical, but when has that ever concerned Crean.

Crean just flipped the burgers that Sampson already put on the grill

with all the players that say they hold scholarship offers from uw it just leads me to believe that bo knows how he can get another one for wilson or whoever. I think royce white still has one, not sure if rodney williams ever got one but he says uw is recruting him among the hardest, and now nick russell says he has one

An infrequent poster on the ESPN Wisconsin board claimed he had a personal relationship with Jamil and the Badgers could free a scholarship if he desires to sign with us. Like you said, their continued heavy (emphasis on heavy) recruitment of other prospects in 2009 supports this claim.

Says he is nowhere near a decision, and that everyone is even.

He also said that any reports out there that he's even close to a decision or only considering those three schools (UW, MU, IU) isn't even close to being accurate at this time.

There is a new thread on the scout message boards about jamil wilson. Evidently the thread stater is close to jamil and said jamil recently took a visit to uw and and has uw at the top of his list.
