Compared to Marvin Williams, Luol Deng, and Magic Johnson by scouts.

Grew up rooting for Duke and N. Carolina at different junctures, but is leery of traveling too far away. Doesn't currently have a favorite.

No favorites. In state schools recruiting the hardest. Also immense attention from Texas, Florida, Michigan St., UNC, and Indiana. Likes Texas because they play fast. Recently posted a near quad double with 20 pts, 14 rebs, 9 asts, and 8 blks.

By Meyer...says Wisconsin and Marquette are recruiting him the hardest. Starting to hear a lot from USC and is also being recruiting (and offered) by Tennessee, Ohio State, Purdue, Michigan State, Baylor and Iowa State.

Sounds like Jamil may wait to commit until pretty late...end of this year or during senior season. Bernini....you said in Bruiser's thread that we will likely hold a scholarship for him. Does this mean that if we get another commit, Bo will put his outstanding offers on hold to hear back from Jamil 1st? I guess what I am asking is how will we hold a scholarship for Jamil?

Also, with Bruiser's commit, who would we most likely be interested in for filling the remaining two spots of the class?

Finally, there has been talk of pulling Gullikson's schollie. If we do this and don't take another guy for the 2008 class (Pomlee or Nunn), would we be able to have 4 scholarships available for 2009? If this is a possibility, who are we looking at for the 4th guy?

Thought...anyone?

No- because he would be a senior next year. The only thing that pulling his scholly would do would be to bring in another kid next year and then only have a two man class in '09.

That was not a good turn of events... I thought we would get another for 09 too. Maybe JP will start drinking...

According to rivals.com, Jamil Wilson has moved Wisconsin and Marquette to interest level "high", while the likes of Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, and Tennessee (to name a few) have remained at a "medium" interest level. Looks promising, but it still bothers me that we are sharing the top spot with Marquette. Hmmmmm....

Also, Wilson says he will make his decision next fall or possibly after his senior season. Make sure to save a scholarship, Bo

Check out this article. It's not so much basketball related, but it says a lot about Jamil as a person and his dealing with his mother's death. A very good article.

Where does Jamil project for Wisconson as a three or four?

I have heard that he is being recruited as a three but he is very versatile and could play almost anywhere on the court

3/1

Wilson scored 37 points, but it wasn't enough as Horlick was ousted by Brookfield Central in the sectional finals.

He'd be a small forward/power forward for the Badgers.....depending on where the Badgers would need him that particular season. Very similar to Marcus Landry in that sense, but a much better version even. Mark Miller made the statement that he's the best prospect from Wisconsin in a long time. Wilson has been tabbed as Wisconsin's top priority for the 2009 class for about 2 years now.
