He's a kid from Chicago (obviously) I believe at one time he was getting big time interest from schools like Kansas, Ohio State, and Marquette. However all the schools cooled on him I really dont know much else....Maybe Cy would know more, but ill update this cause im positive that it it Dority.

Espn scouts inc grade of 90. 3 best point guard prospect in IL
Evaluation
"December, 2008: Dority is strong and physical guard. He is a good ball handler the can power drive to the rim in transition as well as in the half court. He is a good decision maker on the move. He penetrates to score or dish to an open teammate with his head and eyes up always surveying the floor. He plays point for his high school team most of the time but he is a wing by position definition. He loves to attack off the dribble going to left especially under heavy stress. When he attacks right Dority is most likely going to shoot his mid range pull up jumper. He struggled from behind the arc and should work to improve this area of his game. November, 2007: Lavonte Dority is cut from the same mold as a former Chicago PSL product and current Kansas star, Sherron Collins. Dority is strong, physical and overpowers other guards. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and plays with emotion. It seems like every time you see him play, he is trying to prove how good he is. In a nutshell, Dority plays with heart. While he is strong and can finish, Dority needs to get in the gym and work on his shooting. While he can bully his way in the paint because of his strength, as he develops, he MUST get better at shooting the three and at shooting pull-ups in the lane. If he can become a consistent shooter, the sky is the limit."
Rivals shows 7 offers best being Indiana, Marquette, Providence, Baylor. 3 star Scout 2 star...

I think it would be cool to have a player with tattoos suit up for the Badgers.

Rob has tats already.
What's the story with Dority's teammate Mike McCall? Not to get sidetracked, but it sounded at one point like he might be the real "up-and-comer" to keep an eye on.

Link....otherwise, what gives you that impression. They are not mentioned as being in the running from his video interview with Poneman a month ago.

Oh, you're talking about Mike McCall. Sorry, my mistake; I thought you were referring to Dority.
With McCall attending St. Louis after reporting numerous better offers previously, and Dority down to some lesser programs also; it makes me suspicious there is something going on at their high school, i.e. (speculating): it being flagged by the NCAA, their coach telling them to exaggerate offer lists to generate more interest, etc.

McCall was good enough, but felt comfortable at St. Louis, he could've gone high major if he waited until spring.
Dority is good, but he has never developed the shooting or vision that many predicted when he was considered a top 25 player as a sophomore. He is very quick, very strong, and can blow/power by a lot of guys. If he would go to prep school and work on his game, he could eventually be a big time recruit.
UW wasn't mentioned b/c they weren't recruiting him, and he was down to three: USF, UNM, and Baylor, but it looks like Wisconsin is now in it, and in fact I wouldn't be surprised to see him sign with UW.
