It is a shame, but in the end Bo did the right thing. He had standards and showed the university wouldn't benefit competitively from lowering them, like some others have shown a willingness to do. There are many things bigger than sports, which let's not forget from a fan's perspective is an opiate, a diversion from life. No justification to sacrifice principles and if they would have commit another crime here it would have been partially Bo's responsibility. Bravo to him. However, good luck to the kids, they are far from the people who they'll eventually be, they just need to learn and grow from this experience somewhere else where they aren't privileged on a scholarship. Like community college, and they can get another shot at D1 in a couple of years.
