Weatherspoon is a high flyin' act that can electrify the crowd in an instant. He is an outstanding athlete that fills a box score with his multi-dimensional game; the left-hander blocks shots, rebounds on both ends of the floor, finds an open teammate, uses his length and quickness for steals and is a productive scorer 18 feet and in. I love his attitude and intensity, he teams up with Sullinger to give Northland the best one-two punch in the state; some teams might have a player that can match-up with one of them (most choose to double team Sullinger), but stopping both is almost impossible, most opponents play zone. He is best in transition where he uses his athleticism to make plays at the rim; if you don't block him out he is coming over the top looking to jam a put back . He is getting more comfortable on the wing and should develop into an excellent 3-man for Sean Miller and the Musketeers.

Badger coaches contact Weatherspoon
Wisconsin, Maryland, OSU, GT, and Purdue have shown interest in JD after he put himself back into the recruiting mix.

There's a rumor - and I stress RUMOR, because there's no evidence that I've found for it - that Gavinski is going to give up his schollie for his final year of eligibility. That would give the Badgers the opening to sign Weatherspoon.

I think he's reffering to a thread on the scout board that is rumoring about jp giving up his scholarship for his 5th year.
Personally if that happens I'd rather use it on a big just in case markholf, berrgren, and Anderson don't pan out. We will have 2 freshman small fowards next year so adding another the next year doesn't make sense to me

MB is going to play PF for the Badgers, not SF.

Doesn't really matter other than defensive assignment anyways

I think the Krabby comparison is due to him being 6'7 and white like Krabby. While MB does have better perimiter skills(driving and 15' shot), Krabby may be a better ball handler(both really good for their size) and rebounder. MB is a better leaper but Krabby has better bounce.
