I would bet coincidence. They seem very new in on JP. However I wouldn't be surprised if they requested UW after the crushing they gave us last time. For the record I can't remember us getting a kid in BB or FB because of a road game, could be wrong though

Yes, I do think it's purely coincidental. As you said yourself, Tokoto is on pace to be one of the best Wisconsin prospects ever. He has one of the top 2 offer lists in the nation for his class, so maybe even be the best ever period. Thus an elite school like Duke, and everyone else for that matter, would be more apt to recruit Tokoto.

Speaking of being the most highly recruited player in Wisconsin ever possibly, I can't believe anyone had Lomomba ranked ahead of J.P. during their freshman seasons. Mark Miller being included among that group. His reads on some prospects have been WAY off the last couple years that I've noticed. His website is a valuable resource and I still appreciate his contributions, but you wouldn't think a guy that informed would miss so badly on guys like Tokoto and Elgin Cook. He used to have Cook ranked extremely low amongst his classmates.....I want to say in the 20's....and at that time it was not like many prospects had emerged. It's not like either prospect had an unexpected growth spurt which would absolve him.

I don't think they have a say since it's the big 10/acc challenge

Coach K and Roy Williams have a lot of say as to who/where they play in the Challenges.

Nothing "official" but it is more than just a guess.

Roy Williams made a recent visit to an open gym. Apparently Danny Manning was there a few weeks ago as well.

The vultures have started swirling... getting Vander I'm starting to think could help us reel in Tokoto, show him that you don't have to go out of state
