Writer deduces that Iowa State is the favorite alone after his recent visit to Ames, but they could be tied at the top with other teams the way he phrased his answer. Fellow land of lincoln baller Chris Colvin signing with the Clones definitely helps ISU's chances. Will not decide soon.

The Rivals article said that he had two or three teams on top.

I highly doubt he ends up at ISU - try as they may they need to win more games to become relevant for a guy who will get 20+ offers if he wants them

alot of the Illinois fans think UW is way out in front, a guy who is from Rock Island said that Chasson loves Bo.

I believe a coach on the coaching staff of Chasson's team said, Randle thought Bo was really cool, and thought UW was in the lead. If I remember right. ISU is not in the same class as UW.

I wouldn't doubt that Bo's a "cool" guy. We can tell he has a good sense of humor and he seems to have a way with words. I guess his recent success is pretty cool, too.

I have only met Bo a couple of times but he seems to have charisma and a down-to-earth approach that I can see resonating with a lot of high school recruits. I think the level of success (and media attention given to him as a result) has helped establish him as one of the best in the country and a fixation at UW.

I've met Bo a few times before. My high school coach is good friends with him, and played for him. Yes, fresher he is a "cool" guy when I have met with him. I feel like we have a good chance at Randle.

Found a site with some great pics of Randle taken this past December. I must say, he is starting to fill out and develop some muscle.

Not sure this article was ever posted here. It is a quick interview with Randle about his visit to Wisconsin for a football game with his Wolves coach and teammates, Hodges and Egwu. This was before Hodges committed to UW.

Great article about Randle. Talks about how his parents have kept him grounded. Also, he is #1 in his sophomore class in academics. He just sounds like such a great kid. Exactly the kind of kid that Bo Ryan looks for.....a very humble and highly skilled ball player.
I am gonna go ahead and make Chasson my #1 coveted recruit for 2011.

Remember ...
ISU was a "lock" for Harrison Barnes at one point too. That staff seems to identify talent very early and go all out for them. They just dont have the closing power. Colvin is a good one though.

Harrison's recruitment exploded more then most thought that is not a good comparison and I would not be suprised to see him still end up at ISU, The article from scout about Chasson was not worded well(probably because is was from the ISU site)
CSR: What scholarship offers do you currently have and do you have a current leader?
CR: I have offers from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Purdue, Iowa, and Bradley. If I made a list of favorites right now I would definitely have Iowa State at the top. That hardly equates to them "being his leader" Besides Wisconsin offers so much more for a top tier player then ISU(no offense to CY)

New article that talks about Illinois, Iowa State, Purdue, and Wisconsin being the leaders for Randle. Also talks about Randle being selected to the US National Team which will compete in Argentina.

He is certainly a hot commodity among high-major programs in the midwest. And right now the four that appear to be out in front are (in no particular order) Illinois, Iowa State, Purdue and Wisconsin. What makes his recruitment so intriguing and important, particularly with several of the current leaders involved being Big Ten schools, is that the loser in the Randle sweepstakes will very likely have to face him a minimum of eight times.

Here is the Wisconsin blurb:

Wisconsin is also close as Madison is less than 160 miles from Rock Island. The coaching staff has made a favorable impression. Wisconsin won the Big Ten title in 2007-2008 and has reached the Final Four in the last decade. But does the swing offense the Badgers run suit Randle best?
