In all fairness to Trevon he was hurt much more than he let on all last year{ankle} I will wait to reserve judgement on him until later this year .. however there were times during the red white scrimmage when Jordan Taylor lokked like the junior and Trevon looked like the freshman and you could see Trevon take it not so well..i.e. trying to go one on one after getting beat on the defensive end and turning the ball over and bricking a few shots.. Not to be hating on him though he is the best guard weve had scince D Harris.

With the way Tucker destroyed the D League last year, I'm surprised a team hasn't contacted the Suns about a trade. Anyways, he had knee surgery this week, so it will be a while to see if Tucker sees time under Porter

I can't see Landry making the NBA either, unless he has some amazing, unforeseen measurement at the pre-draft camp like 6'8" with a 7'1"+ wingspan.
He plays with too high of a center of gravity, and too slow of a reaction time to guard on the perimeter in the NBA. He also doesn't have the handle to blow by players who contest his jumper. He's also been the opposite of Krabbenhoft w/ his lack of consistency. Where was he in the tournament when we really needed him?? Like 16 games in single digits, that's far too may. Let's hope the assertiveness in the exhibitions/scrimmages haven't been an aberration and he can improve in the area of consistency.
Hughes is ranked the 66th best NCAA junior by draft express. That means he'd require substantial improvement in order to be considered. He has the potential and won't receive a lack of coaching. Basketball IQ and body control around the basket are the areas he needs to address most. I don't think size is too much of an issue at 6'0" to 6'1" w/ shoes and pretty solid.

Hughes showed flashes last year. My biggest hope for him is that another year of maturity has taught him to protect his body a bit more. As Bernini alluded to, his tendency to get out of control around the rim opens himself up to far too much injury risk among other things.

I thought Alando went to about the best situation, scheme-wise, that he could have asked for. Unfortunately there was alot of talent in front of him. Now that D'antonio is gone, I wonder how much success Alando will find in a more standard offense, IF he has not substantially improved his handles and perimeter shot.

Any offense that possesses frontcourt players who can shoot would be ideal for Do. Utah is one example with Okur. He'd allow Do the space to operate in the mid-range where he's more comfortable, and pull a shot blocker out of the paint. Do wasn't the same player against shot blockers after Brian Butch was sidelined during the '06-07 season. Against OSU and UNLV (Oden + Anthony) late that season he posted immensely inefficient shooting lines. Stoudemire has drastically improved his jumper since he entered the NBA, but doesn't have the range of some other bigs.

Don't forget another Badgers' exhibition game is being webcasted again tonight at the Big Ten Network website. Here's the link: UW v. Whitewater
I used to despise the Big Ten Network for depriving me from seeing key games like the OSU v. Wisconsin football tilt last season. But after I switched TV providers, and now see their coverage is so extensive to the point that we're brought every little exhibition game even; I'm really appreciative of what they bring to the table. We're very lucky in comparison, to say, Marquette fans. They certainly can't watch exhibition games and how many regular season games aren't available on television every season?

IMO the BTN has already taken a step down from last year. Last year, all these exhibition games were on TV.

Well, I didn't have BTN last year, so I'm going from no coverage whatsoever to streaming video. For perspective, just remember back to 2 seasons when we had to wait until about the 3rd regular season game in order to get our first look at the team. I'd prefer a tv feed but I'm not going to be picky. Last year was the honeymoon period between BTN and the viewers.

Points of interest for me......
-Can Jordan Taylor secure a major role on this team?
-Is Leur finally being aggressive and finishing in the paint?
-is Jarsmus able to keep his minutes or does Rob Wilson come in and steal the minutes away?
-Krabby's shot how much has it improved?

Hopefully the stream is better for this game would be nice if they could replay it later. Big 10 network responded to my email and said to aviod conflict in schedule they decided to stream games to make room for more exposure for other sports like womens basketball and hockey.....
great news For the record the conflict for tonights game is a re-run of Wisconsin Minnesota football fromm 2003 and back to back re runs of Illini: the Journey that should draw them some excellent ratings.. Sophomore swingman shows promise as a defender - JSOnline In other news A troy favorite. Bo loves Jarmucz defense jsonline story

I dont know that I totally buy into him either, but if he can play defense and most importantly make 3's at least you know he will be here 4 years.... Clayton Hansen was an afterthought, but his senior year was great, hopefully he can follow that same path. I think If he did transfer and we did land someone else that would probably lead to another transfer down the road.... every player that has ever left was because of not getting enough playing time Mickey Perry would look good in red right now
