that's funny cuz that's exactly how I felt during football season.. and during football season I could always say "at least there's basketball".. so much for that

Its just mind boggling that Rob has not seen the floor in the last two games. At this point Rob should at least be getting 10 of JBos minutes. I would love to see a +- score for Bohannon - every game is a career night for their two guard (Pringle, Moore, Westbrook, etc). Gully should ride pine while Markolf should be getting those 5 or so minutes as well. This season is lost barring a huge turn around, and the only way we are going to turn it around is with a different line up.

J-Bo continues to suck, yet Bo-R continues to increase his minutes. Coach is even more stubborn than usual this year and seemingly wants to give Jason every chance to prove starting him was the correct decision initially.
Craig Moore is about the best match-up he's going to see in the Big Ten, so if he can't out-perform him, will we win a head to head battle at the 2 all year?
I agree that Wilson should eat into his minutes, even though I've expressed a lack of fondness for Rob's game as it stands today. He's the lesser of two "evils".
Services generate only archaic statistics still for college basketball, so I agree, it's frustrating that we can't quantify just how harmful J-Bo is via +/- or PER differential. 82games.com (pro basketball) should launch a 35games.com offshoot. I consider their site an ultra valuable tool as a Milwaukee Bucks' fan myself.

Actually, this is karma from last year. Flowers v. Texas, Butch v. Indiana, etc...

The six game losing streak was well worth it for this kind of payoff.

That kind of crap is why Rob Wilson gets yanked quickly in games. He was lucky he didn't travel after starting to move before he put the ball on the deck. Then as he often does, refrains to change directions around an awaiting defender. What was the urgency anyways? We're up like 16 points.

I agree he is aggressive to a fault I think thats why Bo, doesnt give him consistent minutes and you can tell the coaches are trying to work on it you always see Rob sitting right next to coach Gard so that is a great sign that he is trying to learn.

That should just about do it. Good win, although it was aided by some horrific shooting by the Illini. They hit a few of those open 3's and it's nail biting time. Bucky needs to do a better job of fighting around screens, but we did do a little bit better on that end than previously, attributed largely to the fact that Jordan Taylor was hounding their backcourt, not allowing them to penetrate and draw the double team, or even see inside for a post pass.

Press breaking was also much more effective with Jordan Taylor on the floor. He has the best combination of quickness and handles on the team. Also better awareness than Trevon when players are breathing down his neck. The Illini couldn't press us all night as a result. Taylor won't have big stats but he was a difference maker because of his ability to bring the ball up the court comfortably, disallow penetration on defense, and get his own on offense to draw the double team and find the open man.

I was watching this game with some of my buddies and I was telling them how Bohannon is usually useless and horrible and how he never plays like this. We could be a much better team if Bohannon can keep this up (I realize he won't go 6-7 every night). Who else thought it was hilarious when he tried to dunk?

He actually can dunk very easily. There is a highlight tape from his senior year that shows him dunking on it. The player he was in high school to now are way different. I have to think that his knees are pretty shot.
Edit: Here is the YouTube of him. The dunks are at the end around the 9:45 mark. If you watch the tape you have to wonder where the "street ball" in him went?

I was told that "he dunks all the time in practice" - looks like he might need a little more practice lol
