Good half overall though, at least offensively. Better motion than I've seen all year from Bo's guys. We were stagnant frequently earlier in the season. Also, different players are stepping up in the absence of our go to guys, to an extent. We would have been completely helpless earlier in the season.

Defensively, we're going to need to step out on more of their shooters. Players are hanging back in no man's land too much. Then on the drives just move the feet to avoid any moderate foul trouble.

Taylor looked tentative again. The shot at the end was the only positive from him on the offensive end.

Rob Wilson made one bonehead play as usual but it was the best stretch I've seen him play this season probably.

WOW! GREAT DEFENSE!

First Jarmusz cut off Harris' dribble and forced him to spill the basketball. Players dive on the floor but they can't secure the basketball. But they regroup and recover quickly. Bohannon closed on Perry behind the screen. Forced a pass. And then Jordan Taylor hounded his man around the perimeter, didn't go for the fake, stood tall, and forced an airball and shot clock violation. One of the best D sequences all year.

We are exhibited a complete and utter lack of killer instinct. Constantly dribbling away from the defense toward halfcourt until the end of the shot clock....J-Bo and Jarmusz badly miss wide open 3's....Leuer makes a pass that wasn't even close to there, also two Badgers get beaten for rebounds in our area. We can't look at beating Michigan as such a big accomplishment to the point that our nerves show. We're bigger and better than this.

Its not a good sign when you only have one player that isnt afraid to close the deal, the last couple of years we always had 2 or 3 players who could close....2006 Alando, Flowers, Butch, Kam Taylor....2007 Mike Flowers, Butch, Trevon....2008 Trevon?????????

Bohannon choking again. I don't know how else to perceive airballing a potential dagger 3 and missing 2 of 3 free throws, hitting rim on all.

JBO should go back to coming of the bench.

Great game by the Badgers until the final stretch. The key was Krabbenhoft's great footwork and hands against Manny Harris on defense. Amazing he could prevent from fouling on virtually all of his drives.

Offensively great movement, but we could play one on one w/ Hughes and Leuer when need be because of their multiple threats. And Landry took advantage of his many mismatches throughout the day. Notice how Bo finally took a risk with him after his 3rd foul and it paid off in Wisconsin pulling away? We do that in the Marquette and Texas games and we win one if not both.

Agreed that was krabenhoff's best game of the year but he got away with like 4 fouls on M Harris today at the least. But they returned the favor to michigan by givin Landry 3 really ?able calls. Team looked like they had a really good week of practice, I especially was impressed how they handled Michigan's changing of defensive scheme's they were ready for every d that Michigan through at thema specific way to attack Leuer was again the most imppressive player on the floor again so far he's my Mvp of the year. Pop really carried them to come out in the 2nd and help them keep the lead

They reacted to the initial 1-3-1 zone and subsequent man to man, but the zone trap they went into a shell against. Presses are our kryptonite because as you've talked about before we don't attack to deter, but instead are satisfied slowing pace and not turning the ball over. That's only going to result in freebie steals and 30 seconds defending a team at 40 feet for the opponent though. Any pretty good team who presses aggressively throughout, fullcourt or half, we are probably going to succumb to this season. Thankfully in the Big Ten that's probably limited to Purdue, and maybe the Illini with their myriad of athletes this season.

Maybe that didn't stand out to me as much today because they controled the flow from begging to end. But man did you see that fast break Pop had today on that steal, it led to a uncontested layup, that was a rare occurence this year Bo must have dusted off his play book this week and dug way into the back for that one. On another note when is Pop going to dunk, even Krabby got his first last year, dont tell me he cant dunk!

Bohannon is one of the worst defenders in the Bo Ryan era. Stanley Pringle is working him and it's the primary reason Penn State has pulled ahead of us at home. That and Krabbenhoft's amazingly bad ability to make layups, at least in this particular game.
