Can someone give me a recap of the 2nd half? I watched the 1st half but turned my attention to the Bucks since halftime.

My first half observations were:

- Landry was being more assertive than usual. That's all that was keeping him from being a 1st Team All-Big Ten caliber player before.

- Taylor was really getting after it defensively. It showed his reflexes and coordination the way he picked Augustana's point's pocket.

- There were a lot more picks on the ball than usual....which isn't usually a staple of the Swing offensive. Those plays resulted in a reasonable amount of effectiveness.

it was hard to follow but the most impressive thing I noticed was Leuer's agressiveness taking it to the basket and slashing without ball....most of all everyone seems to have made good offseason improvements, Landry and Bohannons ballhandling. The only person who hasnt shown alot is Jarmusz I wouldnt be suprised to see Rob Wilson ahead of him.

I watched about 10 min of the second half and let me tell you Leur was being very assertive in the paint, driving and finishing strong.

-I was impressed with Jordan Taylor he got after it defensively, and was in control of the offense which allowed Pop to move into more of a scoring guard.

-Rob Wilson is someone that can be a difference maker he is a great athlete and has a nice stroke, has to make sure he keeps mistakes to a minimum, and gets after it defensively and he gets some minutes.

-Evans didnt look as bad as I was hearing he was, I agree with whoever said that he needs to continue to develop.

-JP didnt see much but he shot one ugly brick lol.

-Jarzmus was invisible if you ask me, not impressed one bit.

JBO-has improved his overall scoring, still has that great stroke and seems a bit quicker.

ML-very assertive has improved his range interested to see what he can do off the dribble.

Krabbys-range improved tenfold, he seems like he can become a great spot up shooter.

-Keaton looks alot bigger then the 6'8 listed
-Berggren is huge lol

Would not be suprised if you see a Taylor,Hughes,Wilson combo every one and a while.

Team looks as good as ever, Flowers defense will be missed but Taylor and Wilson might be able to pick up the slack. Im still worried about JBO defensivley but that should be offset by his O.

Im glad you saw that TJ was very unactive too, Rob Wilson looked alot better from my perspective.

Too bad I missed Leuer shining in the second because I was excited about him before the season but his red/white scrimmage and first half performance quelled that a bit. I did see him score a couple nice up and unders. But the lateral quickness that was an issue defensively last year also reared it's ugly head a couple times. Do you guys have any idea how many points he scored?

I could see that if Jarmusz is still the same player who has difficulty getting his shot off at this level and plays very tentatively. He played pretty solid defense last season, but that's supposed to be Wilson's calling card, and he has some confidence on the other end. We probably play a 3-guard lineup w/ Taylor more than subbing Wilson, though. Depends on match-ups.

I'll say this about Krabbe, if he can become much more efficient with his outside shot, he might qualify as a fringe NBA prospect. He has good size for a bench swingman in the NBA (6'7"), is a plus defender, can handle the basketball, and could rebound well for the position. All he would have to prove is that he could space an NBA defense instead of seeing defenders sag off him.

Bern do you think with all the rumors of TJ transferring that if he looses his minutes to a freshmen do you think he bolts? Dont ever like seeing players leave but in that scenario it seems like a definite possibility that he leaves.

Even if he gets stuck behind a freshman like Wilson, he'd still be projected as the backup 2/3 as a junior w/ Krabbe and Landry graduating. But if he were buried behind Diamond Taylor, Mike Bruiser, or Ryan Evans next preseason, I could see it.

Heavy did say Jarmusz committed to Wisconsin with the intention to see if he could play at this level and he'd transfer to a mid major early if shown otherwise (unlike Gavinski). I'm not sure how valid that information was. I guess we'll find out.

People inside the program, people who know said player, even the player himself sometimes.

He didnt look great not to beat a dead horse, but I honestly cant see him sticking in the rotation for long...I personally would prefer a transfer of TJ over JP....We need JP's body TJ is another wing witch we currently have an abbundance of. Free's up a scholarship as well......(FLAVIEN hehe)

Obviously Bo isnt going to say someone is leaving but in response to the possibility of JP or TJ transfering: Bo in doing an interview on 1070 espn in madtown suggested those rumors to be unfounded and blasted an article on rivals or scout that claimed he had offered to that center from Illinios Jordan Prosser Bo mentioned that he had not talked to him in a couple of months. Dont know that it means anything now but rumors are just that as much as I would like to see flavien too.....Prediction Jordan Taylor will be the next player drafted in the lottery

Bo isnt TJ he has no idea what he may be thinking, JP's rumor isnt about transferring more of giving up his scholarship, and staying on as a walk-on.

I don't know if Gavinski sacrificing his scholarship was rumor, I believe it was speculation based on the fans desire to add one of the talented in-staters between 09-10 like Jamil Wilson, Flavien Davis, or Kyle Kelm. I think we'll really regret not being able to offer a scholarship to Davis after this high school season. Last year he was slowed by an injury, but to my knowledge he's healthy now and his game always showed room for improvement, even though he was an earlier standout at Wisco and in AAU.

The TJ rumor my guess derived from someone close to Jarmusz himself. He obviously wouldn't divulge the information to the staff and I doubt anyone would make something like that up. It could have been overblown, however.

Bo really can't be mad at Rivals for what Prosser reported to them (they posted the audio of Prosser saying he had the offer). I'm sure Prosser either genuinely believed he still had an offer even though he hadn't talked with the staff that recently or he was trying to drum up more recruiting interest. My guess is the latter since I doubt many would pick Bradley over Notre Dame, Iowa, Baylor, and Xavier.
