Indeed, he attended West Allis Hale. Good looking out reporting his performance because I didn't realize he was still playing college basketball. My impression was he had graduated a couple years ago. I had no idea he was a major contributor for a D1 team last year. Earlier in his career he was an afterthought.
Anyways, in his most recent game he posted another solid stat line, scoring 9 and pulling down 9 boards, in just 14 minutes. Not sure why he didn't play more.
More notable performances from the last couple of days:
The Good:
Kwamain Mitchell scored 20 against Nebraska to lead the Billikens to a double digit win.
James Haarsma had a monster line of 22 and 12 for the Aces against SIU-Edwardsville.
Jerry Smith scored 14 and dropped 5 dimes in his season debut against Arkansas.
Scott Christopherson scored 15 and added 5 assists against Drake, another performance which received praise from Cyclone fans. Vincent's Diante Garrett contributed 11 setups in the same game.
Dwight Buycks posted a line of 12/3/3 for Marquette, while teammate Jeronne Maymon was very passive again only taking 4 shots and scoring 4 points. His rebounding per minute rate has been pretty good however.
Andy Polka filled out the box for Loyola with 11 pts/12 rebs/4 asts/3 stls, while true frosh Ben Averkamp also helped the Ramblers by contributing 12 pts/5 rebs/2 blks.
Riley Grafft continued his turnaround for American, scoring 17 points and adding 5 rebounds.
Troy Cotton had 19 points and 5 rebounds for the Phoenix on Wednesday, while Randy Berry added 12 points and 7 boards.
Manitowoc's Nathan Zastrow, a true frosh point guard for North Dakota St., got off the schnide, scoring 9 points and adding 6 assists against some school I've never heard of.
The bad:
After being a significant contributor last season, Jacolby Hardiman was kicked off the Central Michigan team for a felony he committed at a Sports Bar in the area (presumably an assault). He ended up taking a plea and receiving two days in jail for the incident. Subsequently he transferred to Robert Morris University.
No Wisconsinites on UW-Milwaukee are doing anything now that Tone Boyle is sidelined.
Korie Lucious was blanked for MSU and only tallied 2 assists against Gonzaga.
