2. Marquette can have jeronne maymom for all i care. Also tim maymon has problems. Bo ryan showed up and the east fans started chanting bo ryan. Tim maymom would have none of that. (he was leading the student section last night) Started his own buzz williams chant, who was also there.
3. I would really like to see marquise mason walk on for the badgers. He is in contact with the uw basketball staff. If he gets an offer from the uw football staff he should get an offer to walk on from bo. He has developed a nice outside jumper and 3 point shot. Also swated jeronne last night. He has offers from milwaukee, bradley, and creighton. Maybe green bay too can't remember

I disagree about Jeronne I would love to have him, but as for Tim well.....I think he has serious mental problems that cause excessive pride, arrogance, and it also makes him think he is 16 again.

Also Mason really wants to play both sports in college and I wouldnt be surprised if he gets an offer for football that Bo wouldn't at least let him attempt to walk-on.

YouTube - Alone atop the Big Eight
Vander showed off the hops at 35-38, Is Mason #40? If so he looked pretty darn good.

What do you guys think of MM's new 2011 rankings? I'm suprised Darnell Harris jumped to #1, while Elgin Cook fell, when by all accounts Elgin had a better July and has more potential.

I personally like Winters, Harris, then Cook, but that's just me. Our staff seems to like Winters and Jesperson

I personally think that Winters, Harris and Bowers are at the head of the class with Cook right on their heels (he is just a bit unpolished at the moment, although that can obviously change).
I would say that Bowers arguably has the most raw talent of anyone but I would most likely prefer Winters and Harris... both seem to be more of a sure thing (especially Winters) and I think both are very talented (perhaps not possessing world class athleticism, but that would really be my only gripe with either of them and they more than make up for this on the court... also, its not like their are unathletic its just that i doubt either of them would win a dunk contest)
I am a little curious as to why Bowers did not do better at Nicolet last year... while I know he was only a sophomore, he really wasnt playing against that tough of competition and it appeared that both he and his team struggled at times last year...
Interesting to see Longstreet take such a hit ... havent really seen him play but it appears some of the hype around him has cooled a bit...

Former Milwaukee Madison star and Louisiana Tech standout LaVelle Felton was shot in the head outside a gas station in his hometown last night and is now in critical condition. He's actually had a pretty successful career in Europe in recent years. Very sad news. Hopefully he gets whatever outcome he would have wanted from this point on.

Dominic Wilder from Homestead is a name to get use too. 5'11 PG 2011 that for some reason has been flying under the radar in state but is receiving heavy interest from george mason, cornell, along with others. He is one of the most fluid PG's Ive seen at his age and is a true 1 guard. After a breakout jr campaign I'm sure he will be getting the deserved recognition.

Anyone heard of Chris Jones of TP Elite? I was told that he was the best player at several tournaments this summer in his age group, I think he's a 2012 kid.
