Not much other info at this point, other than to say than is dumb in my opinion. We are now very unbalanced as far as schollie distribution, and have no room for Jamil. Unless there is someone transferring I am very puzzled at this point why we would take a guy nobody else wanted and would have possibly walked on.

This may be a repost of the previous link, but it has been expanded. Reaffirms that he will be on scholarship, and it talks about why he chose UW.
Look for us to still have wiggle room in 2009 - unrelated

That would be awesome if you could touch base with Jamil, Troy. I'd be interested to know if the Badgers are still recruiting him heavily. I mean he was a kid who was more than a blip on the Badgers' radar since middle school, and all of a sudden we don't even have a spot for him long before the 2009 class will wrap. Although a spot can always free itself between now and then. I'm also curious what his reaction will be to this development. He seemed likely to stay in state before the two significant events that happened at Marquette and Wisconsin this week. Now does his attention turn to out of state with Cream at Indiana? Whether Wisconsin high school prospects stay in state or not, I'll still be tracking their careers.
I'll look at the positive side of the Ryan Evans' commitment. First, this means we're finally utilizing all 13 scholarships, which decreases the likelihood we'll have depth problems that lead to our demise at the end of future seasons (unlike the last 3 years). Second, we were badly in need of wings and his commitment balances out our lineup. The jury is still out for me on Ryan Evans the player. I'm looking forward to seeing any kind of highlights, even one clip. Like I said before though, only hitting 30 percent of his 3's is a concern.

Video of Chandler Hamilton Game with Ryan Evans
You have the option to watch the entire game if you download their software.

I downloaded it (my computer wasn't taken over by it, so it seems to be safe) and watched the whole game. From what I saw, Evans looks to be a smart player that plays good on and off the ball defense (on-ball still needs work, though). I kept waiting for him to DO something on offense, but it never came. I think Bernini's fears about his shooting are justified. He had no lift on his shot. Both three pointers and the 15 footer he made were pretty much set shots. The one time that he did try to shoot in traffic it looked like he lost the ball as he went up or never had it in the first place (it was a really bad air ball that came out of a scrum for the ball). Maybe the reason that he never tried to create for himself is that he knows he can't get a shot off. But he never tried to create for his teammates, either.
All in all I'm pretty much left scratching my head.

Remember that the video that Bernini posted is from over a year ago.....and Ryan Evans supposedly "blew up" his senior year, not his junior year.
Also, an interesting thing to note is when the announcer is talking about Ryan Evans, he states that he is 6 foot. So, this means that the accounts that Evans grew 6 inches in his senior are probably true. It also means that when Evans states in his rivals interview that he is still growing, that is probably true as well.
Just a few things to think about before we go judging on here.

I missed that it was that old, that helps explain things a bit. And the announcers actually said he's 6'5", so at most he's grown an inch since last year.
