Lots of interest in 'too small' QB :: RECRUITING :: YourSeason
From Taylor Bell of the Sun-Times, Jon mentions wanting to make a decision before his senior season, and that he may be a Wisonsin lean.
At the moment, Budmayr appears to be leaning to Wisconsin, which has tapped him as its No. 1 priority at quarterback.

Very true. I was worried when we backed off of Watkins, who called us his "dream school" but hopefully we can pull in even a bigger stud in Budmayr

I share the same sentiments. Budmayr is arguably Wisconsin most important prospect this cycle for a few reasons. First, quarterback is the most important position on the field. Second, we gambled not offering Watkins for chance at Budmayr, so if he doesn't accept our offer, we're kind of screwed. Third, and most importantly, Budmayr appears to be a supreme talent with his amazing production, ultra quick release, and above average mobility.
Thankfully, we won't be tortured too much because quarterbacks typically decide quickly with scholarships to high major universities at a premium for that position.

From the ND site. Budmayr had a great visit to Notre Dame, and has been in regular contact with them. He would like to decide before his senior year.

im not sure why he would want to go to ND other than the fact that it is ND but they have two straight so called 5 star quarterbacks so what he will play for maybe if he's lucky his senior year...doesn't make much sense

Absolutely. You have to believe Crist will redshirt behind Clausen this season. If he's the real deal, and he doesn't declare early, then Budmayr would only have one year to start as a best case scenario. Plus, Notre Dame has been a phony for the last 15 years or so. But certain people are swayed by all the positive media attention they undeservedly receive.
If they offer, the Domers pose an immense threat to our chances here. And he's acting like a guy who believes he'll be offered, thoroughly investigating every detail about their program.
