By Bill Kurelic...Hageman has trimmed his list down to four schools: Ohio State, Florida, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Plans on making his decision after the football season.

DeCicco will play offense, same with Hageman. Both seem like plus talents, and with the uncertainty of Kendricks I would think it would be hard to pass up on a commitment from either of them. The one who would suffer would likely be Wozniak, as like you mentioned he would be the first candidate to switch to defense.
A bird in hand is better than two in the bush. I guess we will find out if the saying applies to recruiting

"(The University of Minnesota) didn't really compare," UW Kicker Taylor Mehlhaff said. "I loved the atmosphere here. It was pretty easy to cross (Minnesota) off the list. I wanted to play at the highest level possible but I also wanted to have that college atmosphere."

I agree that we take Decicco if he commits, but what I am asking is.....
If Decicco commits within the next few weeks and then Hagemen decides after his senior season to be a Badger, does the staff still want/take him (Hageman)? My answer was yes.....see other post.

As long as we still have a few offers left, and our needs reasonably filled at that point, then yes. He's just too special of a talent for us to pass up. We're not Ohio State. The only question is would a DeCicco deter him? I think he should because that means he'd be sharing a substantial amount of footballs his entire career. I don't favor one or the other at this point, they both look great on film, so if Decicco wants to come to Wisconsin I'm welcoming him with open arms. We aren't a lock for Hageman by any means anyways. Although the article stating he went to Wisconsin for academics is encouraging (agreed about the implications of that trip). Deciding after his senior season isn't for us or OSU.

From the OSU site...talks about his summer training and how it takes up most of this time. Says the OSU staff has made him aware of their scholarship situation but he wants to see how OSU does this fall. Talks about his recent trip to Florida and about his interest in the Gators. Also discusses his interest in Wisconsin and how they use their TEs, as well as the in-state Gophers.

Hageman has an Oklahoma offer. Says they are a fallback though. Maintains that his top 4 are Minny, Wisco, tOSU, and FL. Receiving pressure to stay in state.

Agreed. I don't think they will be worth a lick. I also doubt that 2 or 3 wins would amount to an improvement significant enough to convince Ra'shede that they are on the up-swing. If that is truly what would seperate us from MN, then you would think we have a good chance. But if his parent's ties and desire for him to play for MN are a deciding factor, then it wouldn't matter I guess.
Either way, I hope we deliver them hefty smackdown at Camp Randall this year.....and I wouldn't mind seeing MN fall on their faces in the rest of Big 10 play either.

Wow, big talkers after winning by only a score last year. I think the gophers should be improved this year, and a lot os people are predicting the gophers to have a shot at making a bowl.

Okay okay....I wasn't trying to start a fight. The Gophers are getting some solid recruits, but I wouldn't expect an immediate change this year. I would say realistically, they will be rebuilding for a few years and then maybe make some noise in about 3 years.
All in all, I hope the Gophers (along with all the Big10 teams) keep getting better. It adds to the competition and it also gives our conference some more credit. In addition, good in-conference competition will help us prepare for our post-season bowl games. Finally, I am sick of hearing how down the big10 is.
