Something needs to click with the secondary. For a free safety he sure lets people behind him and doesn't seem to be in position very much. Smith got picked on, Henry looked average, I guess the only kind of complement to give would be Fenelus, but only because they didn't throw his way much, so I am assuming he did ok. But yeah, I second you two above me
Still feels real good right now

I would also like to give the dline some credit. Schofield played well, Watt disrupted again, and how about using Borland off the end late in the game? He played huge on that last series!
But did anyone see our linebackers? They seemed pretty non-existent to me

Im thinking that OB is playing himself into the first three rounds of the draft next year. He has a lot of potential at the hybrid 3-4 LB position. Guy is a gamer too he comes up and makes big plays when they are needed.
BTW a bit surprised about no mention of Chris Borland the guy is a monster.

After a day of thinking it over I retract this statement. It was a major overeaction on my part, but I still would not be suprised if his carries start to reduce.....Whatever happened to Erik Smith?

I'm really suprised smith lost his carries to ball and smith really didn't do anything to loose carries, if anything he shoulda got more. Although were not at practice so not sure what the deal is.

Well, you were right, Troy. Montee Ball moves to #2 in the depth chart ahead of Brown.

This game was much closer then the score indicated. Outside of two major blunders by ST(this was only his second start on the road mind you) and of course the one horrible play by the Special Teams. We dominated the entire game for the most part.
The difference was that we couldnt convert when we needed to and on the contrary OSU made big plays when they were necessary. The talent gap that was apparent for so many years has closed considerably. Next year when the Bucks come to Madison it will be an entirely different game.
The only player that we loose next year that worries me is OB, and im hopeful that one of the young DE's can make the step forward and become a dominant pass-rusher.
This team will take a few bumps this season, but they will not end up worse then 10-2 this year, and next year they will be even better.

Appleton is going to be a star. Big and strong, fast, strong hands, good route runner already, and very athletic.
The most encouraging thing for me was the young players. David Gilbert, Ball, Kraig, Borland, and Devin Smith all played great today.

Honestly, this team could be scary in two years.... very young. Gonna love our linebackers next year and in two years. If we finish off this recruiting class on a high note and keep improving. They could be very good.

If they finish strong this year (10-2, 9-3) and win a bowl game, you think we will begin the season in the top 10? Top 15?

Top 15, depending on how many starters you return. Enlighten me here. I don't know much about UW.
