Defensive end Clarence Murphy informed ESPN affiliate Web site InsideMDSports.com that he's currently holding scholarship offers from Wisconsin, Maryland and Florida International and the Badgers are his favorite

"I'm leaning a lot towards Wisconsin right now," he said. "They have a great football team, nice location and a good school."

At the Miami Under Armour Combine, the 6-foot-2, 217-pounder posted a 4.95 40-yard dash, 4.61 20-yard shuttle, 7.59 three-cone drill, 30-inch vertical and 9-foot-9 broad jump.

He with 3 other teammates and their coach saved a 2 year old this weekend after seeing an over turned car in a canal. They rescued a lady, but she later died from her injuries.
As for on the field his burst is a concern off the edge. Or can he bulk up to play defensive tackle.

Grimes only seemed interested in playing with Murphy if it was at Michigan. If he received an offer from UW, I don't think it would make a difference. But it couldn't hurt to make an attempt.

just watched his tape and he is definatly going to get moved inside he has a difficult time getting around the edge, however even though he is about 220 he can really overpower some interior lineman, he is definatly a DT.

How do you make a 220-pounder into a defensive tackle? He's got at least 55-60 pounds to go then. Not a sparkling outlook for his career. If for whatever reason we secured his services but not Grimes', I'd view that as another Harrison-Talbotts situation. Not that our staff did, because in both situations the ones who I considered the much lesser prospects received as early, if not earlier offers.
