The Nittany Lions hosted a Junior Day on Saturday and Frederick (Md.) Linganore teammates offensive lineman Robby Havenstein and linebacker/fullback Zach Zwinak were in attendance.
“We went to Maryland on Friday to watch their practice,” Havenstein said. “Saturday we went to Penn State for their Junior Day and watched their spring practice. It went real well.”

Still no leaders, although he admits to being a Terp fan growing up. Also he adds Wisconsin on his list of schools to visit (July 20th). Likes how UW always seems to be in big bowl games and how the Big Ten develops lineman

Scout.com: Havenstein Narrows List
8/16
By John Wallpher. Robbie has cut his list to 5, in no particular order; Wisconsin, Maryland, Wake Forest, PSU, and Virginia. Has his official visit to Wisconsin set for September 5th, and will take an official to Maryland some time in December....will set the rest at a later date. Wants to make sure he picks a school that is the right fit, and understands some schools preferring a decision earlier rather then later, but says he'll know when the time is right and won't decide before then.

Scout.com: Havenstein: "The Atmosphere was Crazy"
9/6
Sounds good for bucky. He loved the atmosphere, parents were impressed, and he knows that he's our number one OL on the board. Might make a decision soon.

Always a good sign when a recruit returns from a visit to your favorite school and immediately subsequent shortens his timetable. The deduction you have to make is that he's gained all the information he might need and is pondering a commitment. Now after the excitement and emotion from the visit wears off, maybe he takes a more patient approach and decides to gather as much information as possible, but right now UW has to be at the forefront as my mind. We are the leaders in the clubhouse as was Steve Stricker after the 3rd round of the Deutsche Bank Championship.

Scout.com: Visit No. 2!
9/11/09
By Allen Wallace. Robbie took his first official visit to Wisconsin.....says that the game atmosphere was crazy, the coaches made him feel at home and it was really cool....got around campus again, says the facilities are great, this was also his parents first trip to Wisconsin and they loved it. Will take his official to Wake Forest this weekend and that is all the visits he has scheduled right now...may take all five or he may not but either way he probably won't decide until after his season. Says Maryland is recruiting him the hardest.

Someone asked about Robbie to Rivals Mike Farrell. The question asked about Wake's chances, to which Farrell thought ok, and he went on to say Maryland is up there. No mention of UW, take it FWIW

Havenstein now in the fold! Big hosses love Wisconsin!

Troy will be happy to have had a mistaken read this time around. It happens - I thought we had no chance at Muldoon last cycle to the point I moved him to the inactive board.
