Jabari Price CB from Ely says Purdue is his favorite, has scheduled an official visit to Minnesota Sept 12, and now talk that the Wisconsin Badgers are about to offer.
|
From his video it looks like he's a very confident, aggressive cover corner with fluid hips, but damn is he a reticent tackler. I hope he's lighter than he's listed it's just a matter of adding a decent amount of muscle. If he's that weak at 170, then it's a mental toughness problem which is probably harder to fix. Henry was 170 and it didn't preclude him from putting his head down and laying the lumber on opponents.

Jabari Price from Blanche Ely has North Carolina, Purdue, and Minnesota as his top schools has been talking to Wisconsin lately. Price is scheduled to call Wiscy's head coach to see if an offer from the Badgers will be coming.

He is next in line after Johnson (Who I now think will be going to Wake) It seems like we are in good position with Price as long as we offer.

I wonder where we stand with Terrence Talbott? And what makes you think Johnson is going to Wake, Troy? Either way, it would be nice to get a CB soon and end up with a couple good ones since we need some depth.

Football Recruiting News
September 6th
Quote:
"I' down to four. North Carolina, Purdue, Minnesota and Wake Forest." Price said
UNC First ACC Offer
"I've been to North Carolina for a camp this season," Price said, "It went well they (coaches) took me on a tour after they offered me. I was excited about the offer, it was my first ACC offer. The dorms were very nice, the location you can't go wrong with Chapel Hill."
"I like the coaching staff (North Carolina). I like how Butch Davis has turned around the program. I like the defensive back coach (Douglas) and Chapel Hill." Price said
"I've haven't been to Purdue." Price said. "I will be there September 17. I'm excited about that trip and I have one September 12 to Miami as well."
"At Purdue I can possibly see some early playing time. Soon as I hit the campus they have two seniors at corner back and they are heavily recruiting me. I am on top of their board." Price said
Golphers First Offer
"Minnesota was my first offer. They have me as one of their top recruits and they are heavily recruiting me as well. They need more depth at corner back. Minnesota wants me to come up and play right away." Price said
"They (Minnesota) recruited Michael Carter before me and he was telling good things about the stadium and how I can see early playing time up there. I like the Big 10, they throw the ball a lot" Price said
Must Hurry
"It's a private school (Wake Forest). Not only will I get a on the field experience but also feel academics as a priority. I haven't been to Wake Forest, but I've been in that area when I went to North Carolina." Price said
"I'm still interested in Wake Forest. I'm trying to get up there early as possible to see the campus. They only have one spot left for as corner back. They want me to fill that spot so they can close out their class for corner backs." Price said

Talks about Price's visit to Minnesota, where a few of his former teammates play. He was "blown away", and Minnesota leads. Will still take visits to UNC and Purdue, and wants to take all five in total

For starters, the new stadium is first class. It's not 1988 anymore, we've been outrecruiting you for the past few years.

I would have a hard time believing he would be a Gopher if a Badger offer would have came
