By M Alkire. He is excited about the Rutgers offer, and loves the way they run their offense. He is also hearing from UConn, Duke, Maryland, Pitt, Stanford, UCLA, Virginia and Temple. He has no favorites.

Visited UConn's junior day. Stanford has been showing interest, and he will go to Maryland's junior day.

Talks about how he received an offer from Wisconsin and his strong relationship with his recruiter from the Badgers (Chryst). Plans on visiting Wisconsin. Of the places he's already been, Rutgers was the most enjoyable. Offers from Miami, Tennessee, and Duke could be on the horizon.

Per Scout, a decision may be coming in July. They also gauge his interest as high for us... and high for Miami.
I kind of hope this is our guy! It makes me feel a little better in knowing that he is "spiritual" and "places his destiny in the hands of a supreme power". He sounds like he'd be a great Badger!

Joseph plans to end his recruitment in the next couple of weeks. Says it will come down to Miami, Wisconsin, and Stanford; and all are even however Scout speculates it's between the Badgers and Hurricanes. Loved the college feel in Madison and said all they need is a QB to take them to the next level.
Don't hold me to this but my perception, although I might be a little biased (he was on my wish list and I consider him the best QB I've seen in this class who has interest from the Badgers), was he'll be choosing Wisconsin in July. Our quarterback recruiting has improved dramatically the last few cycles and see the dividends that recruiting the northeast and mid-atlantic is paying us?
I love Brennan's size.....he should be able to see over the defense and not have much issue getting balls batted. In spite of being big, he's deceptively mobile. He wrong-footed defenders pretty deftly. If running ability won't translate, he at least is agile enough to escape defenders in the pocket and throw on the run. And he shows the pocket feel to step up or away from the initial rush, then he makes decisions very quickly. Very aware on the field, not one of the quarterbacks who birddogs his initial receivers, looks off the defender. Good accuracy on the long ball it appears....however it's tough to gauge fully from a highlight video because we see all the positive plays. Pretty good velocity on medium routes. Would be a tremendous acquisition if my read is correct.

The first thing that sticks out to me is his size obviously, he has ideal size for the quarterback position and he is also deceptively quick, probably because he is a long strider.
His throwing mechanics are very good. His short and intermediate passes are very accurate and they have some real good zip on them. The deep ball however was very sketchy to me multiple times his receivers completely bailed him out. Of course this is off a very limited highlight tape, I think he could be a very good player, his tape didnt blow me away like JB but he does have similar attributes to JB (with 4 or 5 inches of height on him)

So it sounds like you like him also, for the most part (just didn't blow you away), and thus you didn't need much convincing from me.
Your only real question is the accuracy on his deep ball?
Well, on the first two deep balls included, the receiver wasn't even forced to break stride. They were perfect, and needed to be to an extent, because a defender was nearby.
On the third deep ball, there was no defender nearby, and he under threw the receiver. Well, in his mind I'm sure he knew he could afford to do so because there was nobody within miles, and it's a good idea because the most important part is that he makes the completion. Don't want to launch the ball and risk overthrowing the guy or erratically putting it out of bounds. That would have been a bonehead play.
4th somewhat deep ball (from 30 yards out into the zone), Joe was right on the money.
5th deep ball was a jump ball where his receiver had a size advantage, and he threw it within a yard or two of where was ideal. Good, not great pass.
6th deep ball he was on the move and if he put any air under it, it would have been intercepted. It was a good throw considering how flat it needed to be. If there was any problem it was the risk he took.
etc, etc.
I wouldn't ever say a receiver bailed Joe out on a bad throw. They helped him out occasionally, but it's a positive attribute for a QB to be aware of the advantages he has out on the field. Similar to Curt Phillips in the spring game. Field awareness/generalship are an attribute both these QB's possess. He's just a bit more of a risk taker than Curt, probably because of his superior arm strength.
Back when I initially watched his video I wanted to see if my high opinion of Joe was shared, so I searched the net, and found this thread: Volnation-Rave Reviews

I'm bummed, we were in the driver's seat a month ago and I'm still trying to figure out what happened.
Looks like Miami staff is confident here. Some people like UW though, so I don't know.

Brennan is down to a top three of Stanford, Wisconsin, and Miami. He discusses his trip to Madison and the possibility of being a package deal with teamate Sherard Cadogan.
Money in the bank imo.

Sherard Cadogan is a damn good looking prospect as well. I would not be disappointed if he was our TE in the class.
I would love to see Brennan at UW. Seems like a great leader and has a good attitude. That compiled with his very impressive video is almost too much. I will be disappointed if he goes to Miami or Stanford. I was a big Robinson fan (and still am), but Brennan is definitely moving up my wish list pretty fast.
