Official Signing Day Info and Discussion Thread
UWBadgers.com Coverage
As most who are interested in recruiting enough to peruse and post on this board probably already know, uwbadgers.com will stream a live press conference at 3:00 PM about the incoming class, which includes a few video clips from each of the recruits signed. If the Badgers have a strong enough finish (i.e.: Appleton, +?), in the near future I'll create and provide to the forum my own video compilation....just like last year.
Also, if your television provider carries the channel ESPNU, nearly all day (9 AM to 6 PM) they'll be covering the Signing Day Events on a national level, as well as analyzing each high major program's recruiting programs.
If you desire an outside perspective that will surely be more focused on the Badger efforts specifically, check out the Big Ten Signing Day Special, which will air from 3:30 to 5:00 on BTN.
All other discussion and information clearly not regarding one specific recruit who has his own existing thread, please post here.
GO BADGERS!

hmm, announcing.. why would he be announcing if he wasn't switching his commitment to us? If he was sticking with illanoy, one would think he wouldn't need to announce it.

Is this class truely going to make an impact? I know rankings are just that and they are unpredictable and can change but where this class is projected to rank is not good at all. one site says 6th in conference one says 7th. Thats just not going to cut it or you are going to end up with alot more of last years...
A little recruiting this and that - JSOnline
Interesting thoughts on the 15th ranked Pro Style QB comparison,`2005 #15 Colt McCoy #14 Dustin Schere that about sums things up though

Lemming ranked us 5th in conference ahead of Illinois and Minnesota. The Appleton coup may catapult us ahead of at least Minnesota in the Rivals' rankings. The Badgers are at least slightly ahead of where we have been typically relative to other programs. Per Rivals Wisconsin scored signings from more 4-star players than ever. So I think there is cause to be positive about the class. Netting Appleton fused this class together nicely. Beforehand the Badgers definitely were extremely lean on quality players, but thrived on the lines (save DT's not named Kohout).
Troy, the ESPNU Signing Day stream is up at Watch Online tv sports news and entertainment for free at channelsurfing
I'd be surprised if we don't hear one of one or two unknown signees (ala Chris Garner last year) during the press conference. I think we are still below our scholarship allotment if Stallons and Nettles are on the outs, and it's our tendency to over-sign and not under-sign. Humans' most basic impulse is to covet.

84 then without Stallons, which is a substantially low total at this juncture. Usually we finish with about 87 scholarships distributed post signing day. Haven't replaced the DT, OT, and LB's we were seeking late in the cycle. I expect some activity still.

I don't see why we'd be behind minnesota and I guess we would be just behind illanoy in the rankings.. Also, there are a lot of high quality recruiting classes in our conference this year. Not that Northwestern's is better than ours, but it's much improved for them. And of course 'sota has a better class than they normally get. And last but not least, MSU really kicked it up a notch this year. If there weren't so many other good classes in the Big 10, ours would look very good (which I think it is). This class is better than last years, imo.
