I'm sick to my stomach right now. That was probably the worst regular season loss I've ever seen as a Badger's fan.

- John Clay runs twice for 50 yards and a TD, and he's never seen from again.
- We keep Beckum on the sideline for 3 and a half quarters even though he's available to play, because we're that arrogant we can roll over Michigan even without our best player.
- we go into a prevent shell in the 3rd quarter with a 19-point lead when our opponent was completely impotent when we played aggressively.
- Paul Chryst was the worst performer of anybody in college football today. He calls an option play on 3rd and one for a plodding outside back who is incapable of turning the corner even if the exchange is made correctly. We ran a fullback dive earlier with Reentmeester, who wouldn't be denied. We could have pounded the ball up the middle twice and they wouldn't have had any response. The game could have ended there. Plus, he's calling draw plays on 3rd and long with P.J. throughout the game, like we're trying to bleed clock with a tenuous lead. There is just a myriad of other mistakes he made which I can't recall because the frustration is clouding my mind.

We flat out gave Michigan the game today and it might cost us a shot at a Big Ten Championship at least. Not to mention the implications on recruiting.

Curt Phillips and John Clay starting can not get here soon enough if you ask me. I dont blame PJ i blame BB, Settle, Chyrst or however is responsible for subs, because John Clay had more yards then PJ on three carries, zach brown was averaging lke 5yds a carry. We take Beckum out on the most important play of the game. Not to mention the inability to convert on 3rd and short countless times.

check out this quote by coach B

On RB John Clay’s big plays…
“John made a heck of a football play to bounce that thing out. What I ask coaches to do all the time is put the players in the game who you feel give us the best chance to win the game in every situation. They put John in there because they knew he ran that inside “iso” very well and bounced the ball out. It was the same thing in the second half. I asked the coaches to try to analyze who is in the ball game and who gives us the best chance to win. The players that were in there are the ones they thought did.”

are you kidding me????? PJ hill gives us a better option at that point in the game PJ "who cant outrun a DE" Hill, who ever benched John Clay should be fired what a joke.

On running the option…
“The first option we ran during the course of the day , the wide-out missed a block on him that was probably going to be a score, we tried to come back to it twice and weren’t able to do it. The mishandled pitch that resulted in the lost yardage was a big play. They were jamming up everything inside so we went down the perimeter with the option play.”

With PJ hill again not to pick on him but another retarded call why not use the scat back Zach Brown? Ive already alluded to PJ' speed (not his fault he is what he is)

IDK maybe im still a bit angry but these two quotes really pissed me off.

In spite of having what projects to be worse personnel next year, Wisconsin will be a better team because John Clay will finally force Bielema to play him, because nobody could possibly ignore his dominance for that long. That's not to mention the prevent your team from winning defense when you're only up 4 with 6+ minutes to play. He's cheating all his players and fans by not giving them the best chance to win.

I'm so dejected as a Badger fan right now. I hope insult is not added to insult by not taking advantage of what could have been a huge opportunity to gain recruiting momentum.

Everidge is such a f***ing moron im tired of this BS, Dave Doren playing prevent defense costing us another game, Its time for the future big Josh is already playing, now Clay and next should be Phillips he couldnt make any worse decisions then Everidge. This team could be so good if we had a Sorgi or Stocco, and a defense cordinator that didnt go into a f-ing shell in the fourth.

So I will officially start the start Phillips club right now.

still besided everything this was a great game.

Isn't Curt redshirting?.. he better be, cuz this would be a giant waste of a year of eligibility

Redshirting doesn't always mean they cant play it only apply when they didn't play at all the whole season. also completley disagree im tired of one and done QB's id prefer Phillips develop chemistry with KJ, DG, Kendricks, etc..

Burning shirts is allowed but it wouldn't be prudent when the season is half finished and history shows most quarterbacks who were thrown into the fire early got burned. And it could really erode the kid's confidence if he were to struggle because he doesn't have a firm grasp of the offense and isn't ready to be considered the primary reason the team wins or loses according to the media. Wisconsin is better suited to save a year of eligibility and use it so he matures naturally with nothing at stake.

Sherer is really the only alternative, although my fear is once he's awarded the job it's his to lose until he graduates, as we've done traditionally. I would prefer Phillips is the opening game starter next season. Arguably, he was already the best looking quarterback as a 17-18 year in this year's spring game. His footwork flowed away from pressure without getting happy feet, of course he has great mobility overall, every ball he was allowed to throw was right on the money, and he really surprised me with his arm strength (I thought it would be a weakness).

Like I said, I think the Badgers are potentially better next season because of far superior talents at key positions, and a higher in-state player quotient (look at our Rose Bowl teams); in spite of lesser experience at their disposal.

Phillips over Evridge/Sherer
Clay/Brown over Hill
Maragos over Carter (players who are afraid of contact and play with a high center of gravity belong on offense)
Toon over KJ or Gilreath

QB: Phillips
RB: Clay
FB: Ewing
WR: Toon, Moore
TE: Graham, Kendricks
OL: Oglesby, Nagy, Moffitt, Bscherer, Carimi

DE: Schofield, Moore; Nzegwu
DT: Watt, Butrym; Stehle
LB: Taylor, McFadden, Rouse
CB: Henry, Goins; Brinkley, Merrill, Cromartie
S: Maragos, Valai

P: Nortman
K: Welch

maybe a couple of impact freshmen included hopefully Appleton/Hawthorne at reciever, Vlad at S over Margos or Valai (who really impressed me yesterday, but I want to see if he can do it consistently)

Also did you see that we burned Cromarties redshirt I believe he got the holding penalty on the kick return.

I think you're grossly underselling Maragos like the staff because of his stigma as a former walk-on. I've seen nothing but positives from him when he's been allowed to perform on the field. He has a low center of gravity so he can adjust when a player tries to cutback across his body. He's not afraid of contact, unlike Carter. And he showed what kind of ballhawk he is in the spring game when he was launching himself at balls. I don't think a true frosh like Emilien should overtake Maragos, who is of equal talent IMO, and has much more experience. Valai has shown enough ability and improvement to stick as well. Emilien could contribute his first season and start as a redshirt frosh or true sophomore.

The Badgers had a plethora of walk-ons starting on all their 3 Rose Bowl teams, i.e.: Joe Panos, Mark Tauscher, Chris Hein, Jason Doering, Donnell Thompson, Erik Mahlik, Bob Adamov, etc. Our best safeties in recent years have been walk-ons from Wisconsin like Leonhard, Doering, and Stellmacher. The decline at the position has coincided with their absence like the last couple seasons and when we were starting Johnny White. Don't be disconcerted that sometimes they're a better option than the scholarship players.
