He displays the ability to come off the ball with good pad level, shoot his hands, and snap his hips and generate power from his lower body when taking on a blocker. When he does that he can stand-up and control the blocker. He is a pretty tough kid to block overall, but not always consistent in using his hands and staying low. At times he can seem like a demolition derby car just plowing forward and bumping into and usually over whatever gets in his way. He can get away with this some at the high school level as he is bigger and stronger then most of his competition, but at the college level he will need to be the stout defensive tackle that stays low and uses his hands to push blockers off of him. He does a good job of being able to move laterally along the line of scrimmage and staying square. He is a solid wrap-up tackler. Displays a good motor and runs to ball, but his game is between the tackles. He can create some pressure with a bull rush as a pass rusher, but really seems to be most disruptive against the run. Allen comes across as a bit of an old school defensive tackle that is built like an Ox and will fight and over power blockers in the trenches to cause some problems.

GH: Have they just told you you’re someone they want to have on the team?
BA: Once again, you’ll have to talk to the coaching staff about that one; I’m not sure what I can say about that, because I’m younger.

GH: What positions do you play?
BA: I play D-Line.

GH: Are you interested in Minnesota?
BA: I am. I’m from Minnesota, I like it here.

GH: What do you like about it?
BA: I like the new TCF Bank stadium, it’s great, it’s going to be a lot of fun.
Offers: Wisconsin, Minnesota

Note: Wisconsin offered at camp

We still appear to be in good shape for Beau. Our biggest hurdle at this point might be a OSU offer

To me, thats odd. Academics, how the football pragram could help you progress, tha game day atmosphere, etc there are a ton of reasons to choose a school. How an unused empty stadium looks would be very low on my list, but to each his own I guess.
