Tabash is an offensive guard that should be able to be a solid football player at the collegiate level for a smaller sized institution. His height limits his versatility as an offensive lineman. A player who works extremely hard to perfect his techniques. One of the few high school linemen that is a better pass protector than a run blocker. Concentrates on his footwork as a pass setter from both the "two" and "three" point stance. Works on shuffling his feet to maintain inside relationship on pass rusher. Keeps his weight back and delivers a punch without lunging forward and losing balance. Despite short arms, does a good job of keeping defender away from his body and gaining hand control. Not as consistent of a run blocker. Good initial fist step and blow delivery but plays too high. Leverage should be easier for a shorter lineman; needs to concentrate on knee bend and rolling hips on contact. Tends to like to use upper body too much; tries to muscle the opponent. Down blocks well; good footwork and punch but legs get too straight. Same with the double team; gets into block well but must play lower. Gives good effort all the time and really hustles till the end of the play. Tabash is a hard working lineman that is a great leader by example. He will be an asset to his team at the next level.

OL John Tabash continues to work at his goal of a major D1 scholarship this spring while he continues to garner attention from schools and media outlets. Tabash is working out at Elite Football once a week, working in 1 on 1`s against some of the area`s other top prospects including Mizzou commit, Sheldon Richardson, while also lifting weights and doing agility,speed and power work.

He was recently added to ESPN`s WATCH LIST for 2009 football recruits. He was invited and will be attending the Nike training camp at Penn St. on May 10th
Stanford is a school that has stepped up it`s recruiting efforts sending John dailey information and he has been invited to the Stanford/USC game at Stanford Nov 15th which he will be attending with his family.
He was also invited to spring games at Vanderbilt,Wake Forest, Brown, and Yale and has heard from Iowa St. (junior day invite) and Kansas State regarding attending their spring practices and/or games as well for unoffical visits.

PRIORY OL JOHN TABASH NAMED NIKE OL MVP

OT/OG John Tabash 6`3" 285 was named the offensive lineman MVP at the Nike camp held at Penn St. this past Saturday. Tabash was among 250 players in attendance and among 36 offensive lineman from around the country invited there.

The main OL coach at the camp was former NFL player Pete Brock. Brock was reportedly very impressed with Tabash and his technique,footwork and hand placement. Brock reportedly was quoted as saying that he hasn`t seen many lineman in his lifetime who have as quick as feet as Tabash.
