Fenton has 10 offers total, and 6 from BCS schools which include: Wisconsin, Indiana, Syracuse, Pitt, Maryland, Stanford. Pitt is recruiting him the hardest. He does not claim a favorite. He's hitting the camp circuit hard and visiting various schools feverishly in order to increase his list.

from the Pitt site. Fenton made another visit to Pitt this week and talks about how much he likes it there. Pitt and Wisconsin lead for A.J., who will be looking at comfort level, playing time and academics when it comes to making his choice.

GoErie.com :: Varsity

by Joe Mattis
Quote:
"Alex ran great tonight," said senior quarterback A.J. Fenton. "He hit some holes, broke some arm tackles, and used his speed to get out in the open."
The Trojans, with Fenton adding 158 yards on 17 carries and four touchdowns, totaled 393 yards on the ground. Fenton also completed 2-of-8 passes for 27 yards, including a 21-yard TD strike to senior Mike Bizzaro in the second quarter that gave the Trojans a 20-3 lead. Fenton's TDs came on a run of 29 yards in the second quarter, 6- and 27-yard runs in the third quarter, and 25 yards in the fourth quarter.
"A.J. is the most unselfish kid I've ever coached," Soboleski said. "He was willing to make his reads instead of just pulling the ball in and doing it himself. He did a great job."
Much of the success of McDowell's running game can be credited to the offensive linemen. They continually opened holes for Schmude and Fenton.
