Raines defensive end Lawrence Henderson has become one of the fastest rising recruits in the state.

The 6-foot-5, 225-pound rising senior turned in a stellar performance at Miami's summer football camp, earning defensive end MVP honors.

Henderson enjoyed his experience with Hurricanes head coach Randy Shannon, but contrary to a published report did not commit.

"Lawrence really enjoyed himself at Miami's camp, but he has not committed," Raines coach Cedric Thornton said Monday evening.

Henderson has also received scholarship offers from West Virginia, Boston College and East Carolina.
