By D. Sandhop at the A&M site. Once a verbal to Texas A&M, once a verbal to UCLA, Dean has again decided to open things back up. He is concerned with the coaching situation at UCLA, and says that he isn't a fit at Texas A&M. Arizona State, Iowa, and Arkansas are schools mentioned.

By M. Hughes. Dean now calls him self a "soft verbal" in this UCLA site interview. Louisville is getting very strong look due to Dean's friendship with Amobi Okoye, who went to Louisville and now plays for the Houston Texans. He says he will visit Louisville and Arizona State for sure.

Aundre is receiving heavy attention now that Coach Dorrell has been fired. tOSU has offered and he will likely visit because he would love to play with Terrelle Pryor. He also picked up offers from Alabama and Kansas recently and already has set up plans to visit Arizona State and Louisville.

Dean finished with 176 yards on 21 carries with three scores.
?We beat them with the play-action early, and they had to back off,? Dean said.
?The line did a tremendous job, our offense has gotten better every single week, and now we're back where we've wanted to be all year.?

CLASS 5A DIVISION II FINAL
Moving to Katy as a fifth-grader was a life-changing experience for Aundre Dean, who learned what it means to be a Tiger
All for one and one for all
By JENNY DIAL

It was just something to do ? a way to stay out of trouble and meet new friends. Seven years later, football has become a big part of the running back's life.
So big that Dean will be playing in his second state football championship game in three years Saturday at 7 p.m. when his Katy Tigers play Pflugerville for the Class 5A Division II title at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
But Dean's life wasn't always about football.
Until fifth grade, Dean lived in foster homes and with his grandmother in the Alief area. But everything changed that year when Aundre and his sister were adopted by Jennifer and Mike Dean and moved to Katy.

WholeHogSports.com - THE RECRUITING GUY : Top-notch RB visiting Arkansas
Quote:
Aundre Dean visited Tuesday with Arkansas defensive line coach Bobby Allen at his school in Katy, Texas. Dean, 6-1, 205 pounds, 4. 48 seconds in the 40-yard dash, has the speed and power to dominate a game.
"It went good," Dean said of his visit with Allen. "He told me how much I would fit in the offense and told about the opportunities they have with Felix Jones and Darren McFadden going to the draft. It sounded good."
Dean said Arkansas' new staff made contact with him for the first time last week.
"[Assistant ] Coach [Tim ] Horton contacted me last Wednesday or Thursday," Dean said. "He told me that both running backs were declaring for the draft and they needed some good ones to come in and make a difference early."
Dean liked what Horton and Allen had to say and that there is an opportunity to play early at Arkansas.
"It's good," said Dean, who rushed for 2, 111 yards on 309 carries his junior year. "It means the door's wide open and the opportunity is there. I'm excited about it. It could be a great place for me. I know they're going to run the ball. I'm looking forward to meeting the coaching staff this weekend."
Dean has taken official visits to Louisville and Alabama and will travel to UCLA after visiting Arkansas and Texas A&M.
"I'm going up to A&M this Thursday for a couple of days and watch some video," he said. "[Coach ] Mike Sherman is going to tell me what he wants to do with the offense and show me how I would fit in.
" That would be my five schools that I'm really considering, but I'm just narrowing it down every weekend."
Dean rushed for 2, 498 yards and 26 touchdowns on 336 carries this past season while leading Katy to a 16-0 record and the 5 A Division II Texas state championship. He finished his career with close to 5, 500 yards rushing and played in the Under Armour All-America Game on Jan. 5 in Orlando, Fla.
"I have family that lives in Little Rock, but I've never been to where the school is," Dean said. "I don't know what to expect. I know it gets real cold up there, and I don't like that too much. I'm not a big fan of the cold weather.
" I would imagine they have an indoor practice facility. If that's where I'm supposed to be, it will all work out and I'll know."
Dean's mother attended Arkansas for a year and is thrilled her son is going for a visit.
"My grandparents still live in Arkansas and we go down every Christmas and every Thanksgiving because they're getting older," Dean said. "It's kind of home for her. She's kind of jacked up about it. She's excited about me going up because she thinks it's really good school. She's been there. She knows it's a really good football program."
Dean said former Arkansas Coach Houston Nutt started to recruit him shortly before he left for Ole Miss. "They were recruiting me, but I didn't talk to them," Dean said. "They recruited me and it was good, but they never really contacted me on the phone because when they were really trying to recruit me Coach Nutt left. They started recruiting me at Ole Miss a little bit and started sending me letters, but I really wasn't interested in playing there."

One casualty from the coaching carousel was Katy (Texas) High tailback Aundre Dean. Dean made a special trip to Tuscaloosa on Monday and was escorted around campus by Applewhite just hours before the former offensive coordinator flew to Texas to accept a job as running backs coach.
Dean is visiting Arkansas this weekend and will close out his official visits at UCLA the following week.
"I loved the school and they were probably leading after the visit," Dean told Rivals, "but I don't feel comfortable there without him. So now I'm looking at Texas A&M, UCLA, Arkansas and Louisville."
Alabama coaches certainly recognized the fragile mindset of Dean, who committed first to Texas A&M, then to UCLA, only to have both coaching staffs fired. Saban responded to Dean's comments by boarding a plane and flying to Flint, Mich., to make an in-house visit to tailback Mark Ingram, son of former NFL receiver Mark Ingram.

From the Arkansas site. Dean liked what he saw at Arkansas, and says the new coaches make it very attractive. He will visit UCLA and then perhaps Texas.
