"I'd say that Cal leads, but it's still very close between my top three (UCLA and USC)," Stan Hasiak said. "I've met the coaches from all three schools and I like them all but I found myself being able to connect the best with the coaches at Cal. Coaches (Jim) Michalczik and (Tosh) Lupoi have talked with me about ways to get better and we've watched film together. We connected real quickly..."

Bruins score Under Armour lineman Stan Hasiak
Highly-touted Under Armour All-American guard Stan Hasiak committed to sign with UCLA Sunday while on an official visit to campus, according to ESPN's Greg Biggins.
Hasiak did say he wants to take a couple more visits and will likely check out Cal and possibly USC as well.

ESPN's Bill Conley elaborated on the news, "UCLA picked up a huge commitment both in terms of size and importance. Under Armour All-America all star offensive lineman Stan Hasiak took his official visit and that was all he needed to commit to the Bruins. He is the eighth verbal for UCLA and the second offensive lineman. Bruin fans may want to keep their fingers crossed, however, since Hasiak says he still may take another visit or two."

"Hasiak is a tall and intimidating offensive lineman with tremendous lower body strength. He also has powerful hands and delivers a jarring initial punch. He gets great movement at the point of attack in the run game and is also a solid pass protector. Hasiak has good foot quickness in limited space."

Stanley Hasiak switches from Bruins to Bears
California has snared a commitment from 6-foot-6, 340-pound offensive lineman Stanley Hasiak of Kapolei, Hawaii, who had earlier chosen UCLA.

Considered No. 14 among guard prospects nationally in the Class of 2009, Hasiak was also offered by Southern California, Oregon State, Utah and Michigan, among others.
