Outside linebacker Aaron Franklin has received a scholarship offer from in-state power Texas, ESPN affiliate Web site InsideTexas.com reports.
"They didn't have to offer me because I didn't play last year, but it feels really good that they thought about me enough to offer," he said. Franklin suffered a season-ending knee injury during spring practice in 2008.
"I haven't sat down and made a list yet," said Franklin. "But right now the schools that look good to me are Oklahoma, Baylor, Texas A&M and Texas."
He continued, "Oklahoma, they're always in big games and playing for championships, they have winning teams and I like it up there. (On Baylor) They are a real up-and-coming team and they should be good for the next few years. And they have one of my friends, Darius Jones, going there. (On Texas A&M) They're another up-and-coming team and the coaching staff is real nice."
