Longhorns nab Cayuga star Traylon Shead
Running back Traylon Shead of Cayuga, Texas, who rushed for 3,504 yards and 52 touchdowns as a junior, has committed to Texas for the Class of 2010.

The 14th pledge for the Longhorns, Shead also holds early offers from Texas A&M, Baylor, SMU, TCU, Tulsa and Houston.

Shead has run for a combined 7,596 yards rushing and 102 touchdowns over the last three years. The 200-pound standout was named offensive player of the year for the Texas Sports Writers Association's 2008 Class A all-state football team.
