ESPN - College Football Recruiting On the Trail 2009

Quote:
2010 DE Reggie Wilson has two favorites
Junior ESPNU 150 Watch List prospect Reggie Wilson told affiliate Web site OUInsider.com, "Oklahoma and Texas are my top two schools among all the schools that I am looking at right now."

Several other programs such as Colorado, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, LSU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Florida State and Arkansas have also offered Wilson.

Additionally, Wilson expressed what he's seeking in a school, "I am looking for a place where I feel like it feels like family, and where I am not just a number. I want to feel like one of their players as soon as I am on their campus. I want to go to a school where I know the coaches are going to take care of me. I don't want to a place where the coaches only treat you like a player and not like a person as well. I want to play as a freshman."

"I also want to get a good degree and I want to go to a school where that degree is going to help me get a good job after football is over for me. I want to major in business because I want to own my own business someday."

FVSports - The Elite100: Class of 2010

Quote:
11. Reggie Wilson
6'4" / 235 pounds / Defensive End / Haltom High School / Haltom City, Texas
Contenders: Texas, Oklahoma, LSU
Scouting Report: Violent player with a lot of potential. Physically, Wilson has a great speed/strength ratio for his build, and a pretty good motor. Possesses that rare explosion off the ball that garners offers from everyone. Understands angles and how to move on the field despite just picking up football a few years ago. His style of play makes it very difficult for offensive linemen to cut him, and he does a pretty good job of disengaging. Has plus closing speed, makes it look like the quarterback is wearing a magnet on film. Hasn't played football for very long, so he's still raw in terms of his techniques and consistency. Wilson has one of the higher ceilings of anyone in this class.

From the ND site. Wilson didn't know that Notre Dame used to be good, and after looking into the program is excited to learn more. Notre Dame, USC, FSU, LSU, Nebraksa, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Texas Tech have all offered.

From the LSU site. Wilson says that playing football was an accident, as when he came from Africa he thought he was siging up for soccer (which is called football overseas). Not being from the US, he never had a favorite team so he will go wherever he feels he is the most comfortable and fits in the best. He likes what he has heard from LSU so far.
